I cannot farm glimmer for the life of me... I was farming the Dark Beyond mission where the gate opens and flood pours out. I had a black wax idol on and I even have a ghost shell that "generates additional glimmer when killing hive" and I was getting around 3 per kill them after maybe 10 kills it wouldn't even give me glimmer?
I'm coming straight from year 1 so I apologize if this is old but god damn this is ridiculous.

1 Responder500 if it's hunt a target. Memorize your patrol symbols.
-
Bruh you still farm glimmer? Just run strikes
-
Try and aquire a ghost that has the glimmer extra gain for killing specific groups of enemies. You get glimmer almost on any activity.
-
They're trying to force us to remember to use those stupid consumable things
-
Just do patrols, you get up to 300 glimmer for each
-
Best way for farming glimmer now is either just running strikes or doing patrol missions. They nerfed it to cap at only a few hundred within a certain time. Strikes keep you moving and the cap doesn't seem to hit much. My favorite farming is to jump on my nightstalker hunter, equip a ghost or use a consumable (they don't stack) and do patrol missions while hunting down treasure boxes. You get glimmer from kills, boxes, and doing missions. And looking for the boxes (with tracking perk) keeps you mobile which seems to hold off the cap better.

2 RespostasQuit your bitchin and buy my sheet

They put a cap on glimmer u can earn in a certain time
-
??? Just do missions on patrol. 200-300 each, hunt the bad guy and taken blights are 500 glimmer. I always have glimmer coming out of my ears.

1 ResponderIt's been like this since September...

9 RespostasDid they change the Exclusion Zone? Ran it for the 1st time in awhile and now I am told to go past the door, which is already open and nolonger had the Two Ship Spawns.
-
I went to the exclusion zone last night for 30 minutes. Had time to pop 3 consumables. Only earned about 3k glimmer and that was wearing alchemists rainment. I used to be able to max out in about 40 minutes.
-
I dont know. In year 1 i had glimmer max all the time. Now if i have 5000, i feel rich
-
I get a lot of glimmer by doing strikes and activating those glimmer items. It's not mutch but if you keep going it will become more and more.
-
It's been like that since TTK dropped, but almost nobody has noticed, or if they have they don't really say anything about it. You can have your ghost on or a consumable, and after you get a few quick kills it stops giving you glimmer for a little while. I don't know if Bungie did this intentionally in order to keep us from getting glimmer "too fast" or if it's just a glitch they they're not patching. Either way it's annoying.
-
I'm a player who never has glimmer and I really don't know why
-
Decisive Mind strike. Pop a blue polyphage. Boom
-
I have literally never been even close to running out of glimmer. I constantly have to buy synths and parts to get away from max.
-
This was always a thing in raids. Not sure if it was a glitch they couldn't or refused to fix or an exploit they were trying to prevent.

1 ResponderCourt of Oryx Get like 50 blues, engrams, legendaries. Dismantle. Profit. People don't realize that CoO gives if a lot if engrams, especially tier 3, it gives off some legendaries.
-
Yeah, it sucks. Get bungie's idea of too much glimmer too fast and it cuts off and there's a cool down.
-
2 RespostasDo patrol missions. You get glimmer for completing them and a good amount of rep.
-
Go to strikes, receive crappy rewards, dismantle, profit
-
Use your black wax and go in the court instead. Engrams give decent glimmer as do weapons when they're broken down aslong as you use your runes.
-
Spent around 24,000 on heavy and weapons parts today. Sitting on almost 20,000 again. Usually spend 10 - 15,000 a day on weapons parts. Most glimmer is farmed just goofing around.

Glimmer boosters-a troll that gets people to waste time farming
