Let me just point something out here that some of you might not be aware of. I often make anti Islamic threads that point out why I think Islam is a [b]censored[/b] religion. Funny enough. The majority of the time including the thread I made 20 or so minutes get deleted very quickly. I can only assume it's because I say things like "Islam is stupid" and use "bad" names in the context of Islam. Well yeah. Can I not say an idea or an ideology is stupid?? There is a very clear difference between calling a person stupid and a calling an idea stupid. When you're pointing out the aspects of an ideology that are shitty and when you call those things out as shitty that's criticism. I don't really care if the site has a strict CoC about personal attacks, but when you're openly just censoring criticism about ideas it's -blam!-ing stupid. Just a question here. If you point out all the mass murder committed by the nаzis and then say nаzism is stupid because of X Y and Z are you in for a quick ban? I doubt it, but doing the same for Islam is against the rules!!!! Double standard much? It's such a clear double standard. I call out Christianity all the time and when I overstep and call people whom are Christian stupid fine, I accept that ban. I crossed a line. I didn't follow the guidelines of conduct on this site, but the difference is that just the act of saying "Islam is fundamentally bad" is met with a ban as if that's acceptable. Either ban all criticism of ideas or none at all. You can't have both and pick which ones are off limits. It's just like. You might as well not even have an offtopic section is the CoC is just going to be censorship and PC police. -blam!-ing ban assholes whom attack other users not legitimate criticism of ideas. But who even gives a -blam!-. This is the same site where -blam!- is censored. Which does that even make sense? Are words inherently bad? Not really. -blam!- is interchangeable. It depends on the context and how you use the word. The part of using a word that should be against the rules is when you use it as an insult or a personal attack. Right? Not just the word alone. Just apply this logic of "if it is disrespectful it should be against the rules" to anything. Anything! Mac N' Cheese. If you state that Mac N' Cheese is total shit because you dislike the flavor, and that it smells like horse shit well guess what? You've just offended the sensibilities of everyone whom like Mac N cheese. Seriously. Apply this logic to anything else. For example. Communism. Saying communism is bad because X Y and Z is offensive to communists and you're implying that communism is a bad idea therefore anybody whom is a communist follows a bad idea and don't we know that's a no no!
