I honestly think Bungie's PR team is on drugs or something. They're communicating like we're still in the 90s. Weekly communication pieces and a twitter page that only informs when something isn't working. Hell, they don't even respond on their own forums. They respond on reddit. Communication and transparency goes a long way to make a crap product look shiny.

No real reason to respond to a vocal minority of their community. Not only does Reddit have more users, but they usually have more reasonable opinions. It's not surprising they respond on there sometimes instead. Also. Things are repeated on here. Day after day after day. Bungie has likely read these posts. They get it. It's honestly just better for them to stay quiet because they obviously aren't going to budge on these subjects. Do you want them to say "No -blam!- you we're doing it this way?". Essentially anything they say you guys will be like "Hurr durr Bungeeee wE'rE liSteNiNG".

They sold us on this vast, open world game that would last the lifespan of at least 10 years. They could've simply said this was a game that may get some updates and a sequel here and there, but they didn't. They guaranteed too high and under sold. So yes, the community is angry because now they're taking away D2 original content and replacing it with rehashed D1 content. We are simply rebuying a game we've already bought. Simple psychotic behavior here. We keep doing the same thing expecting different results. So I guess it's on us for buying a game we already bought, but it's also piss poor behavior by a developer to take advantage of its fans / investors and selling them the same shit they already have.

Edited by RockNotABoulder: 8/22/2020 3:10:40 PMI didn't say the anger wasn't justified. I said that Bungie doesn't really have a real reason to respond on here. I don't understand why you responded with an paragraph on what Destiny was originally supposed to be. Also. Cosmodrome and VOG are going to be free. We're getting an entirely new area this fall, as well as a new raid. Chill.
No real reason to respond to a vocal minority of their community.
No real reason to pay for the service, either.

No real reason to pay for the service that you don't enjoy, either. Fixed it for you.
No real reason to pay for the service that you don't enjoy, either. Fixed it for you.
Absolutely incorrect. I enjoy strikes and public events. I'm avoiding pvp lately. And I can play them all for F R E E. So, you're wrong.
-
Extra exotics, campaigns, raids and specific activities are not free. If you don't enjoy that type of content then it makes sense to not pay for it. That doesn't mean that there is no reason to pay for Destiny anymore.

Ah yes. Enjoying high quality content like raids and dungeons is totally being a sheep. I completely agree that there is really no reason to pay for seasonal content. As it's quite lackluster. But don't say there is nothing in Destiny that's worth paying for.

I love BNet. It's like talking to a different form of Trump supporters.
Oh shit you actually are one. That makes it even better. Imagine starting a politics conversation because your argument fell flat.

Just comparing you to someone who simply results to insults as well as inaccurate statements when proven wrong. "Here is example of good content that isn't free, and is completely worth paying for." You: NOPE. SHEEP. "So you're saying things like Raids and Dungeons aren't worth the money?" You: BAHHHHHH. BAHHHHHH. Imagine resulting to animal noises because your argument fell flat.
-
The service isn't worth the price, so I don't pay for it. You're stuck on convincing everyone that the service is good... That's not my problem. When there's nothing left to discuss, I can't take it seriously.... And so the trolling begins.
-
"No real reason to pay for the service that you don't enjoy, either." Enjoyment of a certain thing is subjective. Destiny might be worth it to different people. To me, it is. The raids and dungeons are really fun. Especially the first time through. You wouldn't really have a good idea of this as you've only ever really done Levi as well as squeeze in one EoW clear. If Reportmebr0 is your actual account you don't really have a foot to stand on as to whether or not Raids or Dungeons are good pieces of content. Because you haven't played them. Not trying to say Destiny is for everyone. But it isn't correct to say Raids and Dungeons are objectively bad. Because they aren't. It's akin to someone who hates platformers playing Celeste and saying it's dogshit. It's not. They just aren't good at that type of game, or they don't enjoy it.
-
I haven't played endgame content... because my clan is dead. Imagine people leaving to play other games because this one wasn't worth their money... or time. You're in denial.
-
No game can be played forever. People take breaks from games all the time. As have I. There are many raids I was never around to do when they first came out and I still haven't tried them. As for not having a clan. Join a new one. Make friends. Or LFG. "LFG is toxic". Not always. "Joining new active clan too hard hur dur." Not sure I can really help with that. "What are friends?" Oof. A game is worth your time if it's fun. It's clear that many people see Destiny 2 as fun. I'm not in denial about something that I know that I like playing. If I didn't enjoy it I would stop playing. As I have done many times so I never get burnt out.
-
My clan mates permanently left the game.. what, you want me to schedule raids with random players? You realize I have a life right? Big boy stuff to do. I'm not searching for clans and hoping they're on when I'm on. Bungie wants me to pay to do their job for them? pass. Not interested in lfg because it's third party and not part of the game itself. You see, the game is poorly designed and it shows. But you'll defend it regardless of what I say.
-
It's not a schedule. It's literally looking online to see people who are doing the raid at that very moment. I agree though. Having it in game would be much better. Yes. I'm assuming you are alive, and do things. Just like everyone else in the world. As a college student who manages to hold a part time job as well I can say that a 4 minute delay on setting up a raid really isn't that big of a deal. Also "big boy stuff to do"? I'm sure. That's why you're on BNet. Because you're sooo busy. There are multiple huge clans that always have someone on. You know this. Having a complicated activity that requires 6 people isn't poorly designed, it just doesn't work for you due to lack of friends playing and unwillingness to do a 5 second google search to find a clan. Destiny's endgame has almost always been the best part of the game. It's your choice to miss out on it.
-
Lfg isn't part of the service, get it through your little know-it-all skull. If it's not part of the service, I don't use it. And I have plenty of time on here because I earn the time off from work, something I hope you also get to enjoy some day when your $100k education is paid off. The raids are fine. Get me to the fireteams in game and I'm there. The function of the game is flawed.
-
Find Fireteam is integrated into the app. As well as the website. It's Bungie's own LFG system. Yes it should be integrated into the game. That doesn't get rid of the fact that it's easy to use and it's on the Bungie official website.

It's a game service, this function should just be in the game. We shouldn't be grabbing our phone to use it. The design could be improved, giving me a reason to look twice at paying up. In 6 years little to no streamlining was done, functionally... a few menus maybe. Yet the glitches that waste our time mostly remain. Broken quests especially. I hope the game turns around and proves me wrong. I'm not holding my breath.

Edited by OHIMGONEGETCHA: 8/22/2020 3:33:36 AMThey. Don't. Care. They've hit all there financial thresholds for this game and then some. Everything else after shadowkeep is just lagniappe for Bungie and they can care less how customers feel about their decisions moving forward. This is endgame for Bungie. They're just farming mats, now.
