The Umbral engrams would boost your light too much, and in destiny where the content is the grind you lose out on content. People would reach 1050 to fast and run out of stuff to do.

  • Then maybe you should find another game, if you really find that exploiting the game is more fun than the real content, play another's game like borderlands or something

    Nice sarcasm.. All I'm saying is if you don't like the core game play (the grind) then maybe you should move on.

  • Problem with your thought is that this isn’t core gameplay. By that I mean bumping up 50 light levels EACH SEASON is new and not core to destiny. We’ve always had a significant jump at the annual expansion, but seasonal bumps have always been light to moderate. This gigantic bump is artificial and to your point, NOT core to destiny. Finding a way around a boring, artificial non-core and non-historically Destiny process (insomuch that it’s now happening every season) is beyond logical and not indicative of needing to find a new game. Destiny needs to refind itself. Which, to be fair, starting in the fall I believe they’re starting to.
