Raid gear should be locked behind the raids 100% agree with that. I agree that time exclusive event items should not be tied to the raids as these events are meant for everyone and there are lots of factors involved as to why some people cant raid apart from the fact they suck and are just not fun to do. But someone pointed out in another one of these threads something that I hadn't thought of and it made perfect sense D2 has very very little content so rather than spend time on creating content or updating under used area's of the game for an event they are doing the easiest thing they can and just using what content they have if Bungie can be lazy and cheap they will be.
