These threads always make me laugh. Your time was wasted? Its a video game. Video games are entertainment. Did you have fun playing the game? If yes, then your time was not wasted. If you didn't have fun...why are you still here??? As for carrying over your character, what exactly are you wanting to carry over? The facial tattoos you selected when you created him/her? This isn't Mass Effect, its not like any of the choices you made in the story (wait...what choices???) had any effect on how things turned out. Our characters are basically just repositories for gear. That's it. As for the gear, I have no idea why you would want to carry it over. Its a loot-based game. The whole point of playing is to acquire loot. Why would you want to go into Destiny 2 fully kitted out with your god-roll weapons and raid gear? Then you'd have no incentive to chase any of the new gear. Remember, its about the journey, not the destination. Chasing those god-rolls and rare items is why you play. Destiny 2 will have all-new journeys for us to go on, new quests to acquire new exotics, new raids for new gear. One of the things I don't like about the later expansions is that I find I just immediately infuse any new drops into my existing gear. Is that all the new gear is for, fuel to make the stuff we already acquired more powerful? I'd rather see us leave behind all the old gear with every expansion.
