Yes. Both individual perks and especially the combination ruined the image of shotguns and resulted in getting shotguns needed incorrectly. They should have simply took away shot package and rangefinder, then left shotguns alone. It would have been fine then.

  • The problem really was never the perks but the shotguns you get them on. The secret handshake required shot package to even be viable. They should have never introduced shotguns with impacts higher than judgement into the game

  • Hmm. Range has been the main complaining point of shotguns, so I don't see how them being high impact/low fire rate affects that argument any different from a lower impact/medium fire rate shotgun.

  • Higher impact is effective to a greater range. The falloff might start a the same place but it's less noticeable when you have more power

  • Good point. I didn't even think about impact creating differences in damage drop offs.
