Buildcrafting has been dead since Lightfall. Cutting out all the unique builds down to two PVE builds
You're either going to go into surges or Ability regen. Wow such great creativity, now with these nerfs all we've got is surge builds.

Your creativity is lacking, perhaps you should stop reading reddit or watching streamers and actually build-craft. There's more versatility now than ever as far as synergy between exotics armor, exotic weapons, legendary weapon traits, armor mods, and your personal playstyle or intended fantasy/strategy. But you go online and what's 'meta' is the boring 'kill, kill, no die' builds that makes you think how you think. Actually loadout nerds like myself found that stifling because Bungie tended to make big changes based on that myopic approach. And here we are punished a 3rd time for it.

Please enlighten me. Tell me of these unique synergies between exotics as I honestly can barely tell a difference in my playstyle other than the exotic I'm using, the mods themselves don't provide any significant impact, bungie said themselves they wanted to simplify the build process so dumbed it down into what we have currently. Though I will give credit where it's due and the unification of elemental wells and charge with light along side the removal of element locked mods on armor were all good changes, but the rest was overly simplified. The fact they bloated Font of might into elemental surges to fill in the empty options is sad. To list what mods we need to expand on buildcrafting from the basic boring orb focus. Class specific mods: Threadling kills generate orbs / give charged with light Killing an enemy with Shatter damage spawns an orb / gives charge with light Simply killing with verbs to generate orbs (E.g. Jolt, Volatile, Ignition, Shatter & Unravelled) or perhaps in the future eliminate orbs entirely and replace them completely with the current Traces, Breeches, Sprites, Shards & Tangles. Weaving both Subclass 3.0 and buildcrafting more closely together And yes call me a Meta scrub with my double primary loadout of Sidearms & scout rifles. :D Please if you are going to respond, let's have a good constructive argument rather than tossing insults without any real feedback. Thank you.
or perhaps in the future eliminate orbs entirely and replace them completely with the current Traces, Breeches, Sprites, Shards & Tangles.
This is a very good idea since all the subclasses have some kind of thing dropping on the ground.
And yes call me a Meta scrub with my double primary loadout of Sidearms & scout rifles. :D
I didn't call you a scrub. Your post, at least at face value, resembled a lot of posts that focused on one aspect of builds.
Please if you are going to respond, let's have a good constructive argument rather than tossing insults without any real feedback. Thank you.
There's nothing to argue. Build crafting is good right now with the various ways you can express yourself.

Fair enough, also when I said scrub I was meaning that in a more playful way... honestly the one thing I dislike is the lack of tone text gives -_- Right now for me Buildcrafting feels very vanilla. The current three categories we have when it comes to mods are: Ability regen Elemental weapon damage Weapon handling, reload & targeting stats (only really relevant in PVP) Perhaps at some Point they could reintroduce this seasons Orb mods (the throwing ones) into buildcrafting since they proc verbs they could be good against champions (Example being while charged with light final blows have a chance to spawn the orb then it's damage is enhanced based upon the number of stacks consumed.) or even look back to previous seasonal mods and work them in over time.

Bungie does this weird thing where the Artifact mods appear to be, imo, cutting room floor mods for exotic armor or even subclass Fragments. And there's been some really cool ones (few months ago Void was godhood bananas). And then... nothing. They don't integrate the fun stuff in the future, we just never see them again. Just baffling approach to builds. I do not understand their decision making.

Rip my charged with light infinite ammo fusion / shotgun build I miss heavy handed...

The new System is great in that we don't need to change armor elements and it basically combine both premises of Elemental wells & Charged with light, but we're too damn lazy to follow through and convert the mods over to work with the new system going for a lazy dumbed down version, and making Font of Might for every element to try and hide the laziness behind it.
