Now I'm not in downtown New York or somewhere fancy but if Amazon can ship me something for free in 1 and a half days here in newfoundland where do you get off charging 285$ shipping for the ghorn???? The item is 185$ and I assume that its American because it won't tell me anywhere the conversion from usd to cad puts that at 695 $ to order before I pay duties .....I literally was green lit to order it with someone else's money as a gift for myself and had to stop and say no this is to much , like ibwas so excited I am beyond gutted but I can't afford that rn and I know ill.miss my chance forever...I expected 20-100$ at most to ship not 285 ....
On a side note why not show it in action in the trailer ...I bet it doesn't even shoot that well for a nerf gun does it ?

2 RepliesEdited by AccuRAT: 7/9/2022 7:53:30 PMI’m going to explain something very basic to you. You live in Newfoundland When you order something from Amazon it comes from a warehouse near you and at most is a few days truck ride away. Bungie is likely shipping these from the US meaning they have to take a plane ride over to you before then also taking a few days truck ride and also go through customs. Air freight is not cheap. $285 is likely very fair depending on the package size You can’t compare this to Amazon purchases where the items were imported to your area in bulk (cutting cost on freight and customs fees)

2 RepliesEdited by FoxMulder94: 7/8/2022 1:29:37 PMYou actually bought one?

1 ReplyThat's a local Gov't taxing everything. Gotta take it up with them.

Ahh, the old "We'll sell an expensive item for a huge loss, and make it up on the shipping". Seems to work for Microsoft and Sony on their consoles. Now go buy some $70 games y'all!

3 RepliesThe fact you guys even spend money on the nerf rocket is actually sad, thats a lot of money I could use on gas lol. Considering how high gas is getting, I rather prioritize money on something that matters. Of course not everyone has the same life style, I know a couple of you are just showered with money so wasting money away is like cleaning your butt with it. More power to you I guess, 200$ on a toy that you will most likely never use? What a waste lol.

5 RepliesThat nerf gun is $185???? Yikes. That's almost as bad as the $90 plastic, non-functioning toaster they sold last year.

BASIC. STANDARD. SHIPPING. (The standard around the world being a week or so, max a month at worst, bungies shipping is 2-4 months lmao like what the f- ?) Even shipping from asia is faster than whatever bungie uses and they're in A M E R I C A

It isn't their fault. The carriers increased their prices to absurd levels. Back in January I had to ship a box to the East coast. Over the past couple years the cost had increased to $60 for UPS Ground shipping. But now the cost had risen to $100!

1 ReplyThey mistook your address for Newfoundland, Jupiter.

16 RepliesThat’s that free healthcare nonsense coming back to bite you in the -blam!-.

The high price of fuel right now. Everything cost too much cause of the inflation over the past 2 years

1 ReplyOn the bright side in years to come when the conversation comes up 'what's the dumbest thing you ever spent money on?' You'll be able to tell them about the time you almost spent $470 on a nerf gun. It'll even have a happy ending, cos when they ask if you ended up buying it and start seeing you as crazy, you'll be able to look them in the eye and say hell no, I ain't that dumb.

Now I'm not in downtown New York or somewhere fancy but if Amazon can ship me something for free in 1 and a half days here in newfoundland where do you get off charging 285$ shipping for the ghorn????
Amazon has fulfillment centers all around the world which is why they can provide fast, free shipping to pretty much anywhere. Bungie most likely only has one place where they fill orders, which is why they can't provide shipping at the same speed and price Amazon can. You're comparing a company valued at $1.3T+ with pretty much unlimited resources to... Bungie.

You want to complain to the government not bungie. Lol

Edited by Xero: 7/7/2022 11:32:41 PMIn Canada, Southern Ontario near Toronto. $283.62 - Standard International No mention of Duties, or Cash on Delivery needed. I got stunned with that when the Expunged Hoodie arrived. So that would just add to it if this is the case for future orders. It's unfortunate, and that (the hoodie) will probably be the last order I entertain, if this is the current standard. It wasn't like this before. But only time can tell where this ends up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You want to take it up with the actual folks that do the shipping not bungie
-
Bungie doesn't sell physical products much, most freight forwarder would give them regular prices while they will give special rates for companies constantly ship goods (those companies would still agree to minimum number of items that needs to be sent or to pay the minimum amount if they can't meet it. Bungie can't arrange these things. I made the mistake of ordering Ace of Spades without realising it was miniature version due to its high price. Since I could have paid 20 bucks more for life size 3d printed and painted version from Etsy. Bungie barely can do what's their profession, hard to believe they could do something well that's not

11 RepliesThat’s pretty cheap these days, it’s due to the package size. 10 years ago was helping my buddy with his company and had to ship a set of rock sliders to Russia. Due to the size there was only option and it cost $2300 for a $250 product. The customer in Russia lucked out since FedEx missed the pickup time and since it was a guaranteed delivery time they had to refund the shipping since it was a day late.
-
Why I’ve ordered nothing from the Bungie store. The shipping costs quoted are atrocious. I can get things shipped from Japan and arrive to my door in Canada in 3 days for 20-30$. All well 🤷🏼♂️
-
Daylight robbery imo.
-
Sounds like a good deal, how many items your ordered already?
-
285??? Bro you could almost buy 2 more of them for that price. Holy -blam!- that's bad.
-
2 RepliesWait 285 just for shipping? That is insane
-
I can’t even get on it to check, login and then it pops up saying confirm email but I’ve already done all that so I can’t even add it to my cart
-
Sounds about right. I do some international shipping from US to Germany and it’s crazy expensive. Most of time shipping is more expensive than the actual item. Not to mention it’s such a circus these days you practically need a degree to set up an international shipment.
-
3 RepliesWow. In US it was weird amount like $21.05. That’s a crazy amount for you. Hope that’s an error. The UK buyers can’t get but the item because the shipping estimate can’t even be done. As for the trailer, I will not be shocked if the projectile rolls out and hits the ground going a max of under a meter with rolling on the ground.
