That’s that free healthcare nonsense coming back to bite you in the -blam!-.
So you think "free healthcare" is nonsense, but wasting millions of tax payer money overseas isn't?
-
I don’t think free healthcare is actually free. The nonsense part is the part where people believe it’s actually free and/or equal.
I don’t think free healthcare is actually free. The nonsense part is the part where people believe it’s actually free and/or equal.
It’s a actually free. You just need a health card. To get a health card you just need a permanent Canadian address. You can be on welfare and still not pay a cent. You only pay an amount that is scaled to your tax bracket - so everyone pays the same percentage of their income - it works - and everyone benefits.
-
You pay for it through taxes my guy. It’s not free.
-
Pssst, your issues are showing. Should probably go and take care of that
-
I live in the US and have great health insurance I don’t pay much for. I don’t have any issues.
-
Yea so do I. I have great insurance and a good life. But not everyone does. You shouldn’t need insurance to avoid going bankrupt because you fell down the stairs or got cancer.
-
I agree.
That’s that free healthcare nonsense coming back to bite you in the -blam!-.
I’d rather pay the extra $280 and keep my free healthcare than pay free shipping and go bankrupt paying for $80k of chemo if I get sick… Seriously guys…US is the only free country in the world that introduces profit when people get sick lol In other countries we just…take care of everyone…

Edited by CozMcKilljoy: 7/8/2022 12:55:50 AMIs that why my fiends in multiple countries have to come back to the US to receive care? Because the health care system decides who they treat and who they don’t? Or the ridiculous long wait times for basic surgeries and procedures? When I was in Tanzania our guide took us by the local care facility in Dar Es Salam. A huge line of people stood outside, three day wait to be seen. That is if you got seen and if they could treat you. I realize that it’s not that way in all counties but… still… I had to go to the ER 2 weeks ago. Already I have procedures lined up, and appointments set this month to take care of my problem. I’m not wealthy by any means but my insurance is doing it’s job.

Even in counties with a national healthcare it ain’t free.

Taxes plus high cost of living. It all evens out.

Nah, nobody is going bankrupt or paying over 10k to have a baby. I have MS and I was diagnosed, received treatment, and I get lifelong medication delivered to my home, it would cost about $62,000 per year in the US. My tax and living costs don’t cover that. I don’t have to worry what my policy covers. I did have to pay £3.50 parking fee at the hospital. You like your system we like ours, seems you’re the only one with a problem with that.

Sounds made up.
