Do you guys think six-packs are overrated?

Sup, I've always wondered what people thought about six-packs. And why we want them so bad. As if it makes us a better person. I have a six-pack, and I love it. But I care way more about my beard than my abs. People see your beard everyday. And can only see your six-pack if you're soaked in sweat or rain.(for the most part) So I, kind of, think six-packs are overrated. Yet I don't regret working for one. What about you guys? Type: Yes or No Edit: Still can't post polls. Like, wtf?

If anything, beards are overrated. Having visible abs and muscle definition is a sign of health. It shows that you take care of your body, which should be attractive

    • I'll take a 12 or 16 pack and save money but still get decent beer

    • Yes. It creates a sense of insecurity for men feeling they need to look like david beckham to hook up with women (or men, not one to judge) so they sometimes push themselves too far to achieve this "ideal" body image. This exact issue has and is happening with women but for some reason the mens side of the problem isn't talked about as much. I know it is more marketable and more appealing to have attractive models as opposed to the average or overweight man or woman but you see it everywhere.
sorry i turned this into a mini rant
• Perfect six packs require something like less than 2 percent body fat and that increases your risk of a heart attack. Correct me if I'm wrong on that!

        • Of course 6 packs are overrated. Get a full case and share with friends. Oh, wait, you mean abs? No I don’t think it’s overrated. For me personally, it’s just a point of pride.

        • I do know I need to lose at least 135 lbs to be at a healthy weight, but don't see the point of trying to get 6 pack abs.

              • its quite subjective. it all comes down to being comfortable with how you look. picking up girls is more a thing of self confidence than being 'good looking'(but well.. who defines what good looking is anyways) i used to play soccer for quite some time but then i eventually injured my knee (no, not by an arrow) and this made me stop doing sports. i simply wouldnt have enough time for sports now as i have hobbies that are more important to me now next to working. after quitting soccer i gained a tiny bit of weight but i can adapt with eating and drinking so i still consider myself as a rather 'normal bodytype'

You can't edit a poll into a post. Instead of hitting the normal icon to create a post click the 3 dots on the right, create poll is one of the options. I usually go to the gym every day after I get off work, I'm in decent shape and yes - I think they are overrated. To me the only people who don't just have amazing genetics and/or willing to have strict dietary restrictions who have them have a lot of time to put into it. Like Hemsworth/Thor. Someone like him has the time and means to put a lot of time into getting in shape like that. Trust me - nice arms and shoulders can go a long way, too

This is physical perfection. A body sculpted by the gods. He was their magnum opus; no higher beauty exists in heaven or earth. Does he have a six-pack? That isn't the question to ask. No, you should wonder: Do I have what DeeJ has? The answer will always be no, because you are not DeeJ. We are not DeeJ, and we will always be a disgrace to beauty itself when compared to him.

No. The only six-pack I want has Shiner on the carrier, lol. Ok, not true, I would love to look like that dude who plays Thor. Even when I worked out several hours a day, I could never get that sleek, ripped look, but back then, it was not like today, with the custom diets, fitness magazines, etc. I always had a solid core & still do, I am just not as trim. I worked out because I enjoyed it & to be honest, to help burn off excess anger. The beard thing, I am finding out that it is very important these days. I am trying to learn all about the grooming of my beard & whatnot. I sometimes miss the days old days where you are just a man, no manscaping or anything. Polish your boots, buy the same jeans every year your whole life, same shirts, & life is good. Now, just seems like too much work to be a modern man.

                    • I've dropped 65lbs so far this year. I work out pretty frequently, rock climb twice a week, and eat pretty damn healthy (lots of lean protean, low sugar and high fibre). Still don't have defined abs, but am getting that V thing and have an extremely visible rib cage. Overall, I've lost a noticeable amount of muscle mass, but have toned up a lot on my upper body - especially arms and back (legs were always pretty toned). Despite the downsize, I have maintained most of my strength (tho it takes more effort now). I can't grow a proper beard (-blam!- these genetics), but loosing weight has led to a much slimmer looking face (high cheekbones and a noticeable jaw line). So basically...enjoy your beard and abs...and FML.

                    • Six packs are nicer to look at, but a bit of fluff makes for a much nicer experience when it comes to cuddling and stuff like that. Personally I like guys who are in shape but have a decent amount of chub on them. I like giving characters in my stories six packs, but it's not something I look for in a partner.

                      • From a female perspective I can honestly say (in my opinion anyway but most of my friends agree) that six packs are not very appealing.. When you cuddle up to a bloke you want to feel a little meat on him. It just feels safer.. If that makes any sense? 😂
