1 ReplyEdited by theKingGhost: 4/25/2016 1:21:35 PMBoth requiere some kind of skill. Snipers rewards precision, learning sigthslines and practise (obviously) so a high skill player might find snipers better. Althougt shotguns requiere high skill too, the diferences between a top player and that guy who is always rushing you with their Conspiracy theory are their movement habilities, map awarement and quick reactions. Is true that Destiny's map desing seems to favor shotguning and they have been very hated by the comunity because of those "beings" that just run and blast you in the face. But it shouldn't take off the skill of a good shotguner who has learnt how to make any aproachment, when to rush, when to hide, etc

1 ReplyShotgunner blasts in a general direction, kills someone and gets killed in the process. Sniper learns sniper lanes, countering other snipers, usual enemy movements, drag scoping, quick scoping and provides the most points in the match without giving away loads of points to the enemy team. Huh... looks like bum rushers require the most skill XD

Fusion rifle takes more skill than any thing smh

1 ReplyYesterday I ran into trials and thought to myself "Why don't I use a shotgun? Haven't used them in ages!". Equipped one, destroyed the entire enemy team and my teamm8s were like "Wtf when did you Git gud?"

Shotguns require more skill, most of the scrubs I play in rumble just rush me like a dimwit and I burn them down with last word. A good shot gunner has to know his cover, movement, range, and abilities.

Fusion Rifle.

They require their own type of skill. Shotgunners need to get up close and personal and snipers need to have patience and right angles to get those shots.
-
4 RepliesSniper, because to get kills you have to place the redical right. Shotguns just look and shoot
-
4 RepliesBoth take some skill to use

snipers take skill, but honestly rushing people with a shotgun (no blink/titan skating) is the one of the hardest things to do

It takes much more skill to be an amazing shotgunner than an amazing sniper. But it takes more skill to just be a solid/decent sniper than a solid shotgunner

1 ReplyIn a 1v1 a sniper takes more skill In anything other than that, shotguns are harder to use

1 ReplySnipers need aim, shotguns need movement

3 RepliesIt's not about the weapon, it's about the player. A great person could make a bad sniper rifle seem decent, and vice versa. Same with shotguns and fusions. You can put a shotgun in my hand, and I could do great. You can also put a sniper in my hand, and I could do well after a bit of a warmup. It's not the weapon category that takes skill, it's the user that uses his skill to make a weapon feel skillful. ~TheGreatFila
