No it is awful now. Was much more effective 2.0. Don't know what you are on about. I abused last word pre patch and I guarantee you hipfire is worse now. You must have not used last word hipfire before if you honestly think it's better now. Nearly any veteran will agree last word hipfire is worse now. I've also outgunned plenty of ppl hipfiring the last word at cqc range with my primary. That would never happen before unless I too used last word.

  • I didn't hip fire pre - 2.0, because it was bad. ADS was much better even in the intended ranges. But now, hip firing is more effective then ADS.

Hip fire at close quarters was very effective pre patch. Just took some getting used to. But yeah before patch, ads was better in long range. But once you learned hipfiring, it was much better in every close quarters and some medium range situations. Now hipfire is only better because they practically destroyed ADS with the last word.

  • Hip fire feels worse. I hip fired with it pre patch too. The notes may say hip fire is more accurate but it isn't. Perhaps the other nerfs to hand cannons were more impactful and counteracted the buff? Either way, hip fire is way worse now it feels like to me.
