It really doesn't do more damage. It caps out at 400-440k damage and that's if you hit the target with a necrotic grip boosted melee first. Then you have to hope all your needles actually hit the dam thing. Titan curiass thundercrash hits upwards of -blam!- with those aftershocks that pulse after the initial impact.
Bungie is fine and dandy with hunters being able to spam their supers and hit millions of damage, titans having banner of war with syntho 1-2 punch shotguns, berserker super does a fk ton of damage on its own as does behemoth (under the right conditions), then they have both curiass and pyrogale.
But warlocks aren't allowed to do anything but sit in a well and can't even do that since y'all btched about starfire actually being useful after collecting dust in the vault for years. I can't wait for well to get nerfed in a few months so I can see y'all moan about the game being impossible because there's no well to save you from all the bullet sponges and bosses that constantly pummel you during damage phases.

Actually it does do more damage. Thundercrash is around 400-420k total with cuirass and puts you out of position. Needlestorm is around 400-420k without necrotic grip, while having range. It’s a better super. Behemoth is not good at all and a dawnblade dawn chorus is more versatile. The warlock problem sounds a lot like the titan problem, but warlocks have a super that works everywhere. Titan only have strand and pyrogale that work on close range enemies only. Warlocks only have strand and well. Warlocks still have sunbracers which are doing more than starfire. Yes, well needs a nerf. We need to have challenge back into this game and warlocks will still be fine. It was like this in d1, but now we have insane regeneration and damage resist. All roaming supers and lower one and done supers need to be buffed anyways, but Needlestorm is far from mediocre

Dawnblade is one of the worst supers in the game. Stupid thing can't even ignite without an exotic and even with it the damage is piss poor. Sunbracers is an add clearing build. You can't stack grenades on the same target. It's useless on bosses. Curiass hits upwards of -blam!- stop leaving out the aftershocks. The initial impact does over 400k. Pyrogale doesn't require you to be that close, the hammer tornado travels to the enemy.

I mentioned Dawnblade because you mentioned behemoth. They are both bad but at least dawnblade is consistent. Wait till you find out that the lava blobs from touch of flame solar grenades do stack on the same boss and the dps is more than what fusion grenade use to be, it being an ad clear only exotic is one of the most common misconceptions. Cuirass hits around the same damage of Needlestorm including aftershocks. Those aftershocks are negligible. It’s still 400k-420k same as Needlestorm. Except it’s put you out of position so your losing damage trying to get back to do heavy dps. Pyrogale requires the boss to be grounded so while it deserves to be strong. It’s not practical everywhere.

I know about the blobs, too bad you can only use that on bosses that don't move and are under a ceiling....oh wait...almost no boss fits that criteria. It's an add clear build. Add clear builds are a dime a dozen. Curiass consistently out damages needlestorm because needlestorm has nothing to boost its damage and it has absolute sht tracking. It's ridiculous how many times a couple needles miss or tracks to some stupid add in an off corner of the area. The threadlings that spawn have the same issue.
-
The blobs working on anything not moving is still a large amount of bosses. It also doesn’t need to be on a ceiling. It’s not just a ad clear. Needlestorm’s consistency is only a problem against small targets like Shuro chi. Even if cuirass did more damage it would only be by a small amount. The fact that thundercrash needs an exotic to do the same damage as a base Needlestorm already proves how bad it is. This isn’t even getting into dps rotations
-
If the blobs aren't falling from a ceiling they do jack sht for damage especially since every boss in the game flies and or moves around a lot. Needlestorm has that issue on every target not just small ones. Even if needlestorm did more damage, the fact remains that warlock has no exotics that boost super damage outside of the gloves for stasis, Ballidorse Wrathweavers and that's one of the worst supers to use for damage. Titans and hunters have so many exotics that boost their damage its absolutely ridiculous.
-
The blobs do the same damage. Look up solo caretaker. No titans don’t have many super boosting exotics and the ones we do have doesn’t compare to the dps of strand warlock. The only good one is pyrogale, and even in dps rotations it’s worse than Needlestorm.
