Given the pvp nerfs that barricade and Citans has received over the past few seasons, I feel this exotic should gain some PVE functionality to make up for its loss of pvp performance.
My idea:
While shooting through the barricade, your bullets and projectiles gain anti barrier functionality. Additionally, damaging pve combatants or breaking a barrier champions shield generates class ability energy for anyone standing behind or shooting through the barricade.
This change could make for some interesting endgame pve team play and builds. Imagine running Citans titan with a stag warlock and speedloader slacks hunter in a GM or dungeon.

Yeah, Citans is my favourite looking exotic but it sucks that in Pve it is completely useless.
-
Actually a sick idea

13 RepliesSounds good but allowing the fireteam to gain ab rounds would be too op. If it granted the titan ab rounds that's perfectly fine because it would be similar to secant filaments granting overload rounds
-
That would be cool, maybe some velocity as well for GL and RL(not bows). Like a magnifying glass for your weapons.
-
At the very least your barricade should not become a tissue in pve when you use it.
-
The exotics are dead. People couldn't adapt. They will never be reworked or come back sadly. Bungie destroying exotics with nerfs is the new sunsetting.
-
I like these ideas, but i still wouldnt use the exotic. Maybe in addition to your suggestions we could have a second charge for the barrier? Given the high cooldown it might not be that broken.
-
3 RepliesWould make Titan feel like the fortification class again.

Out of all the crazy ideas I’ve seen over the years, this is one of the few times I can say I love this one. Im not even a titan main but I think the titans could get a meaningful buff to this exotic without breaking pvp again. I hope bungie sees this one and implements it

70 RepliesYour asking for buffs on a titan, good luck
-
This is a S tier idea. Good job😎
-
Oooh. I like that. I like that a lot
-
Great idea but how about paper thin barricade? Enemy One shot destroyes it
-
I still wouldn’t use them. Still a great idea to make them less useless though.

1 ReplyEdited by Obi-Juan: 2/2/2024 3:32:12 PMCitans give your barricade reduced health and duration. Why not just use Second Chance gauntlets? That way your barricade doesn't get its usability nerfed just for the sake of being able to stun champs
-
14 RepliesI agree mostly. If Secant Filaments can grant overload rounds, ctians should grant anti barrier and ability energy when breaking combatant shields, but not just arbitrarily dealing damage to combatants. That would be just a little too much, but otherwise, I think that would be a great change.

Love this idea

I’ve wanted this for awhile.

Great idea. The health of the barricade is too low now, however. It will get obliterated in a GM in seconds.
-
Here, have an upvote. That's a good idea

I started using Citan Ramparts because of the fashion and the lore that goes along with Warlords Ruin. I would love to see a PVE buff to Citan Ramparts. Those sound like great ideas.

I like this idea!

very cool idea

Honestly not a bad idea. This is coming from a Hunter main.
