Mmm no pretty sure the glow was only to show class standings. It’s why titan was bronze, warlock was silver, and hunter was gold when they first came out.

do you even play the game?? you get a plat glow if you turn in a plat medal, the glow lasts for the weekend but weirdly only you can see if and not other players

Platinum glow was specifically stated to signify Guardians who had turned in a Platinum medal. If it only shows on my screen it defeats the purpose of them entirely.
