Xbox Live is superior to PSN. I'm sure that's the success of their subscription model improving this service over the years. Kinect is not everyone's thing. I love voice command and how that cuts menu time. Seeing as apple and google has sunk considerable resources into voice recognition technology and intergration with their mobile products it just makes sense to have it on a gaming platform.
