I took this from the overwatch forum because you are full of it.
"My rank was not where I wanted it so I decided to play some games by myself to go up a bit, in rank. I had a 12 game lose streak (This was last season), and now I am very afraid of playing solo queue in comp, because it lowers my changes of winning. So I again ask, is solo queue (in comp) worth playing?"
BTW that thread is full of people complaining about being matched against full teams.
I'm not sure of any AAA game that has a solo matchmaking que. CoD did at one time but not sure if they still do.
You shouldn't expect to play in competitive and not face fireteams and you should be penalized if you do quit. That's pretty standard, quit a competitive play list in other games you get a penalty.
Destiny 2 has a great many flaws but adding a quitter penalty isn't one of them.

However I never gone up against full groups in Overwatch since I started playing Competitive in OW. That's something like 4 or 5 seasons. Plus people actually join the teamchat in Overwatch.

Bungie can't control who joins chat that's a community problem. That thread from the Overwatch forum May 5th and was full of people complaining about losing when they que solo. It seems Destiny is full of solo players, also not Bungie's fault. The game is designed to be played as a fireteam. They through in some solo options but it's not a solo game.
