I'm being penalised by your below standard matchmaking?
Why are people being punsihed, Bungie?
The matchmaking in D2 is terrible. I know you want to get people into games quickly but you really have to think about gaming experience. Match 4 person fireteams against other 4 person fireteams? Stop using solo queue players to fill in the gaps when you can't find an set of equal opponents.
Leaving early ruins other player's experience in the Crucible? No. Me leaving a game, as soon as it starts, saves me from ripping my hair out because you start a 2v4 match where the opponent's team is in a 4 person fireteam.
You need to reverse this crucible penalty until you properly sort out your match making.
If you have to put a note up about large fireteams experiencing longer matchmaking times then so do it. Games like Overwatch have been doing this for months and nobody makes a fuss about it because people understand.
This is why a large number of players are leaving because of bullshit like this.

2 RepliesInstead, they should release the same game types to quickplay where this rule isn't in place. Competitive is going to have a lot of stacked teams in it, thus the term "competitive". I guess it really doesn't make sense to me when people post these complaints. You know that they have the quitter penalty in place, yet you play competitive anyways, and then quit on purpose knowing you will get punished.... and then STILL complain.

I had a 12 game lose streak (This was last season), and now I am very afraid of playing solo queue in comp, because it lowers my changes of winning. So I again ask, is solo queue (in comp) worth playing?" BTW that thread is full of people complaining about being matched against full teams. I'm not sure of any AAA game that has a solo matchmaking que. CoD did at one time but not sure if they still do. You shouldn't expect to play in competitive and not face fireteams and you should be penalized if you do quit. That's pretty standard, quit a competitive play list in other games you get a penalty. Destiny 2 has a great many flaws but adding a quitter penalty isn't one of them.

Being put against a full team is not really a big deal to me, being put into games where I’m going against the top 1% of the crucible gods is what I hate. Nothing more that I hate than getting steamrolled by the best of players, my kdr is around 1.6-1.7 which is not bad. Im somehow going against players with 4.0 kdr and higher in most of my games which sucks. I play quickplay to simply relax, not get sweaty and die every 10 seconds because the other players spawn camped us. Unless I get sweaty too I literally have no chance of winning or have a good time, I want to go against people around my skill level

I totally agree! However Bungie have now made things even worse by removing the tracker / radar in crucible competitive mode. Fire teams here the payers are all speaking to each other are now at at even greater advantage as solo players have no idea where either your own team is never mind the enemy players !

1 ReplyThis needs many upvotes. There are minor flaws that still haunt us (players). Bungie adds a features without thinking outside the box. 1- Will players remain after the match? 2- What about if they joined a full stacked team with just 3 less players? 3- does it balance or punish those? 4- can it be improved? Bungie [i]really[/i] needs to get back to the drawing board and start to revise.
