It seems new Strikes and new crucible maps have taken a backseat to... I have no idea.

From what i can tell its because the annual pass is for endgame content so stuff like strikes story and crucible maps will be added in the next DLC instead of the annual pass.
-
There's no next DLC. There's next annual pass and then D3. D2 has been left to rot by bungo itself as they are now with a new ip and D3 and don't have the manpower required to pull off new actual real content for september since Activision dumped them. Make the math. They are still finishing next content drop of the AP, new ip AND D3 on the way...
-
No, I'm pretty sure they said their would be a Sept update then the y3 annual pass
-
No, they won't. They don't have the resources. AnonTheNine also said it in Reddit and he was a 100% of every "prediction" he made. This year we won't have any big expansion, only a new AP
-
strikes and crucible are endgame content tho
-
strikes are not really endgame but i guess you could say crucible maps are endgame.
-
the endgame is what is left after the story missions are complete. so lets go through what is left after someone completes the story: -raid -forges -crucible -gambit -nightfall -and yes of course strikes not to mention the nightfall is nothing more than a strike with extra loot
-
You can access strikes before the final mission in vanilla D2
-
you can access crucible too. whats your point?
-
Well you said that endgame is stuff after the story.
-
and when the story is over guess what is still a big part of the game... strikes.
-
I dont know i never play strikes because they are worthless right now.
-
just because you don't doesn't mean nobody does. i don't play any pve stuff but i still recognize raids and pve stuff end game. there are people out there that only play strikes. thats what they enjoy. so just because you don't play strikes doesn't mean they aren't endgame material.
-
If they were endgame shouldnt they drop better loot.
-
just because the loot sucks to you doesn't mean its not endgame. the "greatness"of a drop is in the eye of the user. i think raid loot sucks so does that mean raids aren't endgame?
-
Ok for one thing everything that drops from strikes are obtainable from many other sources besides stuff from zavala and nightfalls.
-
and strike specific loot. don't forget that.
-
You mean nightfall specific?
-
nightfall is a strike
-
Well technically they are different things but yea they are still strikes. But dont most nightfalls not even have specific loot so if bungie did release a new strike it most likely wouldnt have any new loot.
-
you are probably right that a new strike wouldn't have specific loot. but thats getting away from the point of "strikes are endgame material"
-
I just dont really see strikes as real endgame its like they fall under the same category but just dont feel like they really are.
-
thats your opinion. raids don't feel like endgame to me but they are still endgame.
-
Wait how do raids not feel like endgame? Last wish took like 20 hours the first time through.
