What About Strikes?
Strikes used to be such a huge part of Destiny 1 and felt like an after thought for Destiny 2! Now this new DLC, like the one before, doesn’t have any new Strikes.... Where are out Strikes?

6 RepliesThe days where you could do strikes for hours. The days where it was so satisfying to complete a nightfall. The days where melting a boss was difficult and satisfying when you pulled it off. The days where you hoped for that one strike that you loved. The days where you had pre strike dialogue while flying in. The days where you see teams drop into patrol areas and just know that some poor strike boss is gonna get some. Those were the days.

3 RepliesI don’t think they care too much about that kind of content anymore. They are pushing the game into a different direction where PvP is a core element in one way or another. If D2 Y2 is any indication, D3 will no longer be a game for many of the fans that helped start the series. They don’t seem to care as much about the an immersive world anymore and instead care more about challenging and complex activities or competition. I think this season may signal the beginning of the end for many players.

bro we ain't getting strikes till the end of 2019 or new crucible maps for that matter, just think of the old DLC format as a thing of the past

I am starting to think with the sequel model adopted rather then the evolving game world evolution we were initially sold years ago any commitment to real depth was thrownout at that time. The cake we thought we would get with our thousands of hours of devotion will only be rewarded with a little bit of icing occasionally with the privilege of re-earning past content Bungie kept from us for each new season we gave them money for to this point.

With these pentacle weapons it’s not so much the grind, it’s the brain numbing repetitive drag.

5 RepliesStrikes are and have always been boring. I agree it would be nice to have loot tied to normal strikes and add new strikes each DLC, but that won't change that they get old and boring very fast.

11 RepliesI liked what the did to strikes in Rise of Iron. The addition of the keys and strike specific loot was awesome. I guess i'll never really understand why they had to change so much. It's really baffling!

6 RepliesWhen they took out gears and weapons you could only get in strikes, it killed it for most and I guess Bungie decided not to make more. It pisses me off because I remember the days of grinding out a strike for a gun or those damn cloaks lol. But once you got them, you felt like a god hahaa

I agree, where are our new strikes?? Not bothered about crucible maps but we should of had new strikes and new strike bosses to beat. Why can’t I get to the end of a new strike and hear SYLOC THE DEFILED THIRSTS FOR YOUR LIGHT, that was good in Challenge of elders, made the encounter more endgame fun just hearing that. I do see however we have taken warbeasts in Gambit prime so atleast we have 1 new enemy type.

Didn’t catalyst drops get increased? Strikes are so boring to me I never bother to do them. I cant stand doing the same exact missions for hours like you strike loving players do.
