I still play it maybe once a week if I'm on the computer and bored, maybe a couples games. Love Death Island. I usually just troll teammates though or t-bag and/or vehicle camp since the lag is so bad. I'm also mediocre at best with a keyboard.

Get a wired 360 controller. So much better than mouse and keyboard for players that aren't PC focused.

Have you tried lowering your settings? the problem is probably with your computer. I'm no expert when it comes to game optimization but in my experience Halo makes terrible use of some PC set-ups and it can cause it to lag, especially on online games. This is basically the bare bones, lowest quality Halo you can run. You wont see the burst of a plasma grenade, no shadows, no bulletholes, but in my experience it helps make the online playable on some machines. Set your video settings to: Resolution: you should be able to keep this at whatever your default is but if it still lags after changing everything else lower it Frame rate: 30fps Specular: No Shadows: No Decals: No Particles: Either set this to Off or Low Texture Quality: Low
