Friendly reminder, I'm not arguing to argue I'm sick of just how toxic the forums are, they did use the Iron Gjallarhorn as a selling point for the RoI preorder. It's a grey area since it was the skin they sold and not the gun, but they really did use the ghorn nostalgia to sell more copies.
Here's the official teaser trailer for RoI, make your own judgement call on whether or not they were using an old gun as a key selling point.

But that was in D1, were we technically still had the exotics from past years. What people now are saying is, that we are being sold the old exotics, that were taken from us at the beginning of D2. But they were never used to market the expansions or D2 and thereby to sell more copies

Yeah, but that G-Horn you had sitting in your vault was capped.... The one sold in ROI was able to go up to max level.

I know, but it’s still different to the current situation

For now I'll err on the side of caution and agree with you. But I would not be the least bit surprised if the fall expansion brought back Gjallarhorn and they used it as the same way they did for RoI.

Edited by IceApfel: 4/24/2018 4:46:42 PMWell if that were the case, it would be because the gally is pretty dang special to the community and the game. This is the same reason for why they did it in RoI. It was a money making opportunity, yes. But this would not work with any other exotic.
