Only difference I saw was the sequence was different and the guys got out of their ships. This was a demo so they had this guy jumping into the action right away for everyone to see.
This is exactly what we are playing. I don't get what all the fuss is about. Looks like the same game to me.

How can you read or watch anything being so blind?
or does your monitor translate everything into Braille?
-
You obviously didn't watch the whole thing. How about that scout rifle that fired like a pulse rifle or when he switched from his scout/pulse to a hand cannon without going into a menu. There is a yellow engram drop at the end that turns into thunderlord who's skill tree looks nothing like our and has abilities that aren't on the current thunderlord. But ya, pretty much the same game.
-
Edited by Atamusk: 1/29/2015 10:44:48 PMIt wasn't a scout rifle that fired like a pulse rifle. It was just a pulse rifle. And of course exotics dropped at the end. You cannot possibly believe that was a random drop. It was specifically set up to drop those weapons so bungie could showcase them.
-
Hand Cannons were originally special weapons but became Primary weapons. Everyone from alpha and beta knows this.
-
It's a demo, it's programmend to show off multiple elements of the game, hence the easy weapon switching. The skill tree isn't a tree... ist just a progression line with no choices... what we got in the real game, that are skill trees!
-
That is a pulse rifle. You can see it when he goes into the menu. Considering how rare it is for purple engrams to drop, I in don't think you're missing much with exotic engrams not dropping in the full game... UI differences =/= different game.
-
So basically a completely broken weapons system and a different perk tree for a weapon... Completely different game,I want my money back.
-
Having skill tree look different a year later is not material, just a change in User Interface design. And yes obviously they have an exotic drop in the demo, it's a demo. They aren't going to show off the Galahad-E. I have seen this before and I cannot see why people get upset. It really is almost the exact game that was released. Oh my god my fire team member doesn't get dropped off in a ship on map! I want my $60 back!!!
-
It was supposed to be an open world, remember? So no, it isn't the same game that was advertised. We were supposed to be able to explore everywhere, not just patrol missions
-
It was never soupossed to be "open world", there has been tons of talks about that statement. What they said/meant was that the environment (outside of the playable areas) could someday expand and be open for us, in like DLC's or sequels.
-
I edited the comment with the video, it has the right video now
-
Wait, that's the wrong vid. Ill find the one
-
Edited by Zer Agint ofNINE: 1/29/2015 9:24:52 AMPay attention to when he is looking out at the landscape, he says we will be able to explore everything
-
"That we hope to one day, we get to send you to" As I stated before, they refer to it as an area they can use to expand Old Russia/Earth sometime in the future for a DLC or Sequel.
-
There are cutscenes that did not make the game. The hoe the public event was set up. A fire team comes in late apparently by jumping a huge wall. Cutscene with the queens brother I mean there's a ton not in this game and that was a ten minute demo
-
Hey! It'd be super cool if my members were dropped by ship! Don't you try to diminish that!
-
And yes obviously they have an exotic drop in the demo, it's a demo. They aren't going to show off the Galahad-E.
Idk why but I found that hilarious

I can see you point, but I would much rather have the video's version of Destiny than the one we have. It just looks so much better. But i'm not crying because the game isn't what it was hyped to be. But I would love if they added some aesthetics to the game.
