Personally I liked the gameplay of most missions. Tormentors were annoying at first cause basically felt like I just had to run around for 5 minutes till I found a ok strat for em However as many others have been saying, the narrative is pretty bad I'm hoping that unlike previous seasons building up to the next expansion that the next few build on to this one more than usual and expand on stuff like the veil. Maybe if that's the case they wanted to make seasons more impactfull, but spending 60 bucks just to learn absolutely nothing story wise kinda sucks. Then needing 40 more just to really get the story you thought you paid for is ridiculous as well. And that's if the seasons expand more on this dlc's story rather than building up to final shape

  • How was the narrative bad? I dont understand why people say this. Did you people skip huge parts of the story?

  • They didn't really answer anything Whole hype was were gonna confront the witness. We saw him maybe 3 times in cutscenes, never in game. New paracasual force introduced, narrative makes it sound like the cloudstriders and Osiris know what it is, and then we find no one knows what it is at all. Very little and weird character development Osiris goes from being a hard-headed, mission driven personality to randomly trying to open and comforting to the cloudstrider( I can't recall name rn) So, new expansion is released, expecting to get an answer to what the pyramid fleet is, who the witness is, what it wants exactly, and loads more Now we have the exact same questions, plus where did the witness go, what is the veil Ya, notice all the build-up for the hive god of war. Yeah, wanna tell me where she's at. More little things are like if we see traces of strand cause we're guardians, how do enemies have strands, Sheilds TLDR The narrative was to stop the enemy from taking objective, which is made to sound like we know exactly what it is. Calus is made to appear as a bug threat. Turns out we know nothing about the veil, calus was a decoy to get our ghost there. He never mattered. Never encountered the witness. We got multiple more questions than what was answered. And very little character development

  • The whole narrative for the DLC was. The beginning of our end. And we lost...as expected. And the veil protected the traveler from the witness. And the veil could only be deactivated by something with the traveler's power. Thats why calus had the artifact rohan exploded...which was a light artifact. But our ghosts are also a light artifact.
