Witness had memory of it and it would've been sick to see it manifested as a zone in the Pale Heart. Massive missed opportunity. Even just a flashback vision upon touching a Dissenter Statue would've sufficed.
I wanted to see the Pyramids arrive and the bleakness and despair Humanity felt as darkness beasts under Nezarecs control ran wild across the Earth's surface as Witness gave some sort of salvation has arrived speech.

Would have been really cool to see how it all went down. Could have been a cut scene in game or even a ViDoc online.
-
Actually, the internet security company Cloudstrike was still around when the Traveler was here, and they put out another faulty software update that brought everything down, but permanently this time. All the stories that the aliens who arrived after the collapse were actually to blame was just fingerpointing from the Cloudstrike executives to avoid being sued by pinning the blame on someone else. True fact, that one.

Modificato da jhermannITJ: 7/25/2024 4:25:28 AMBecause It hasn't happened yet, but I'm not trolling... it's coming, inevitable, there's no avoiding it. 😇 👍💠 The fuse is being run... soon the wick will be lit. Bomb logic. But old school style... you lay the pitch... oil the fields, armies lying in wait in the Dark realms of the Ascendant planes. A mind is freed... a Raven flys with sharpened Talons... a daughter of the darkness.

I wouldn't want to go back as a lore accurate lightbearer after the collapse.Killing and subjugating other humans wouldn't be my idea of a fun game.

Modificato da THA_3rd_GUY: 7/25/2024 3:55:33 PMWe also barely got any screentime of our Guardian with the Witness one on one. The only time our Guardian got to directly speak to the Witness without our Ghost talking for us was the end of Shadowkeep. That to me, is one of the most disappointing things in Final Shape story wise.

Over days or months sol got smashed savathun kills nezarac hides veil traveler sacrificed a huge amount of it's power to create a stalemate. Plus every in my opinion justified thing Rasputin did. Would be good as a few cutscenes hope it's not made into a game though would suck.

Yes we did.... It was called "Lightfall"! 😂 Remember that season? And Nimbus?

I would like to see some sort of tv series or Destiny based movie showing the collapse. So much potential with this property if done right.
-
I would like to see the next Destiny game be a prequel. Start with the collapse and build toward founding the last city. Classes would be looser and you would see them emerge as you play. Invest in mobility and stealth and your supers become prototype versions of Hunter. Invest in strength and stamina. Your supers become early versions of Titan. Invest in healing and intellect, your supers become early versions of Warlock supers. All players could access all supers, but your ability to wield them and do massive damage with them would depend on your investment, similar to D1 only with all classes open to every character since classes haven't really developed yet. There are no guardians. There are only the risen, some of whom will be warlords, and some will become Iron Lords.

I want to be a part of the hordes of lightbearers that stormed the location where the Last City would eventually be. Have a whole campaign dedicated to it.

Modificato da MC 077 Lasombra: 7/24/2024 10:09:36 PMGiven how rushed and incomplete the Final Shape is for a conclusion of the Dark and Light? Got a feeling they just wanted to close it out and move on to whatever “original” ideas they have for future stories. Which given what originality they’ve shown is going to be sociopolitical garbage.
-
We never got to see or know about much of anything they’ve told us is important, only vague nonsense that’s puddle-deep at best! They’re not exactly good at the whole storytelling thing, in case you didn’t notice! HAHAHAH!

"Massive missed opportunity" JFC lol.
-
Hence why I want Destiny 3 to be a prequel.
-
The Collapse is one of the things I would picture in my head while patrolling the area known as “The Blast” in Destiny 1. I always wondered what it was like. I think it would have been dope to have seen it in-game.
”The Blast” still exists in D2 however it can only be accessed through the Devil’s Lair strike.
There's some lore about the collapse that makes it sound absolutely terrifying. Like the swamp monsters that rise from the ground and such.... Such a shame we never got anything like that in D2 when the Witness invaded again. -
They had the perfect opportunity to show us but Bungie decided the Cloudstriders were so much cooler
-
I imagine the collapse was essentially what happens in the one cut scene with the mother and child where they essentially get frozen and then swallowed up by the smoke
