PvE? Yes
PvP? No because maps are the issue. Use a Scout on Midtown or one of the Trials of the Nine maps and you will dominate.

If the range is in line with other weapons there's no reason the shouldne be as good. How will scouts dominate long range if their damage fall off doesn't support long range?

Their range isn’t in line with other weapons though...

I see you haven't read my post, or even the title. Perhaps giving posts a read before you comment on them would be beneficial to both parties, lest we have useless interactions such as these
I see you haven't read my post, or even the title. Perhaps giving posts a read before you comment on them would be beneficial to both parties, lest we have useless interactions such as these
I did read your post and my response is that they need a buff in PvE but not a buff in PvP. Changing the whole point of the weapon type isn’t a fix either 😆. They are suppose to be long range weapons... something to use if you do not want to use a sniper.
In PvE their main issue, in my opinion, is their lack of damage. They need a damage buff to be able to take put red bars more effectively. Perhaps a stability buff for High Impacts as well 🤔. In PvP the weapons themselves are not the issue. Its the maps that are the issue... what they are suppose to be good many of the current maps do not allow for that.
You say that if they are not justified for a range buff, which they are not, then they should have their range cut and zoom lessened... what would that solve? If anything that would give them less of a place because they are essentially a semi-auto pulse. Using a semi-auto rifle in close to medium range doesn’t feel good. From someone that has recently started using Mida Multi Tool again I can say that whenever someone got too close to me it didn’t feel good because I knew I was at a MASSIVE disadvantage. I was at a disadvantage because I was put in a position where the gun is not good in... cutting its range and lessening its zoom wouldnt have made those situations any better.

I specially said if the range (of scouts) won't justify a buff (in Damage/TTK) then chop (shorten) the range (of scouts) and buff them (their Damage/TTK)
I specially said if the range (of scouts) won't justify a buff (in Damage/TTK) then chop (shorten) the range (of scouts) and buff them (their Damage/TTK)
Thats literally not what you said... You said nothing about buffing its damage. All you said is “buff”... that could mean anything. Your post is insanely vague and missing important details. You cant just say “buff” and expect people to assume you are meaning a damage “buff”.

Then I clarified that up for ya, but tbh I clearly didn't mean in stability bud

You essentially just wrote a math problem solution without providing a unit. How do I know what 3 means if you do not provide a unit? 3 apples... 3 horses... 3 cars... DETAILS MATTER “BUD” 😆. And then to make this interaction even better you act like I should know exactly what you are talking about when you are missing important details. No disrespect or rudeness is directed towards you but come on... (if it comes off like that I apologize, I mean nothing but respect 😁) Now that I understand what you mean, after the full details are given, I still disagree. Id rather Scouts stay where they are and we just get bigger maps but thats just me. I do agree though that Bungie does tend to ignore Scouts quite a bit so thats something we agree on 😂😁.

Modificato da Gemini Trash: 10/26/2020 3:05:43 AMIf people really thought scouts were good as you do they'd be using them, and they aren't. Weapons in Destiny are simple tools, if the use decides a tools use is irrelevant the jobs for bungie is to make that tool useful. I suggested buffing damage and reducing range to approx pulse range to suit the purpose a marksman would need at mid range.

Thats basically what happened with 140 and 150 Hand Cannons... 1 of the 2 will not be used. Why not just have bigger maps added? Might not be the easiest solution but I think it’d be better than potentially running into the 140/150 HC issue but with actual weapon types instead of archetypes.

I thing we both know the notion of Bungie creating enough PvP maps before the final expansion for D2 drops in 2022 is laughable Additionally the 150's are being deleted as a nerf to Handcannons generally because they refused their options to balance then differently. Finally the difference between pulses and scouts should be clear enough, that's like asking the difference between Autos and Handcannons. Not everything needs to have different ranges to have their own utility, but if a weapon isn't doing damage there is no utility to make use of

There was not way of balancing 140’s and 150’s without making 1 vastly under-used. 150’s being deleted was a great decision and will only benefit the game. My only gripe is that they are making all current 150’s into 140’s whereas I would have made some of the 150’s into 120’s or 180’s but Im not the one making the decisions so... 🤷🏼♂️ And no... making 140’s 2 crit 1 body would not have been a good decision. If that were to happen then 150’s would NEVER be used again because the ease of use for 140’s just went up exponentially. The usage rates of 140’s and 150’s would be switched if they made 140’s 2 crit 1 body. What you are arguing against is the basic layout of Destiny’s weapons. Everything has its ups and downs. You are trying to go against the status quo of things and thats how you end up with the 140/150 issue. You are trying to take away the Scouts downs and give it the ups of Pulses. I am simply against that. Everything has been designed for a specific use and Id like it to stay that way with a few exceptions. (Exotics being those exceptions) Also Scouts do indeed do damage but that damage is best used at long range 😉.
