No they just hit buttons, The community figured it out for them.

Yeah because the 30+ hours they spent in there was just twiddling their thumbs and not thinking and trying anything of their own. FOH.

A lot of it was. The level cap is literaly the only reason this wasnt figured out day 1. Lack of ability to iterate means there's a slow testable rate to figure out information. Streamers were dumber than Bungie was expecting. So they had to spell it out.

Along with tons of people in the community communicating on reddit, twitch, and discord. Sure they got it first, but several others were trying the exact same solution at the same time because they all worked on it to get there /sip Not sure why so many people think this was a race

They did, seems you look at the symbols with a gun, shoot it with another gun (so you can’t see the symbols) just have to know where they were. Not sure on the gun used.
