The average player in destiny has a negative k.d. I think its .98* or something like that.
So something "good" would be around a 1.4+
1.4 = Good
1.75+ = Really good
2.00+ = Great
2.5+ = Beast
3.0 = ????
Also, low combat rating + high k.d generally means they run stacked and/or camp their asses off.

There's a kill for every death so the average K/D is 1. Factoring in the suicides it might be going down to like 0.98 or 0.99. I'm not sure where you're getting this information but it's obviously wrong...

I saw it on a thread from bungie about the sunbreaker having a 1.08.

Don't need a link. My KD is 1.00 on the nose right now and I am the top 48%. When I was @ .98 I was in the top 50%. The only thing that really matters is the overall KD of a player not by class/subclass.

mmm maybe that was for titans then since they were talking about their new subclass. Was looking at it on their now and both titan subclasses are negative in k.d.

I play solo pvp like 90% of the time,I think my combat rating is 123,idk if that's good or not .but I think I do decent for being solo

I edited it :p But yeah i usually play with 1 or 2 friends. I hate running stacked in destiny.
