I think it would be cool to have a saved weapon load for example, saving The Last Word, Found Verdict, and Deviant Gravity-A combo for PVP, and on the fly switching (maybe a shortcut key on the controller (maybe pressing in the right thumb stick?)) to a different weapon loadout for when you're just fed up with PVP and want to go back to playing PVE. And perhaps even naming said loadout would be cool too! I find myself going into your app along with your start menu A LOT for messing with my weapons. Don't get me wrong - I love Bungie's ability to customize, but I have a fireteam that's literally waiting on me to play, and there I am stuck in the start menu debating my loadout.
