If you find doing [i]the same shit[/i] over and over again with no reward or incentive to play as fun, then you are sadly among a great minority in this game. Fun is getting [i]something new[/i] to explore in order to remove tedium from the same choices given to you since September. Bungie giving players 10-20 new exotics, 10-15 new missions, 4-5 new strikes, and a new, more [i]challenging[/i], raid akin to that of the VoG would be REAL content. THAT is fun because it absolutely changes the dynamic of the gameplay in a positive manner and encourages new gameplay styles. It extends the lifetime of the game. Bosses with shields in a damn broom closet does not facilitate a positive dynamic in gameplay - in fact, it encourages the opposite. Giving players a handful of pitiful exotics that no one can find even remotely usable is pathetic and forces the same gameplay in an unchanged environment. Creating a raid that can be effectively soloed with minimal practice is not a raid - it is a story mission at best. Throwing infinite enemies at players while forcing them through narrow chokepoints to slow progress (abyss, bridge, deathsinger) does not incorporate strategy - in fact, it is a linear concept of shoot until you get loot or auto-wipe. None of these things are fun - they are the DLC that many people on these forums defend blindly. Those of us who were lied to when we pre-purchased content from a then-reputable developer are strongly offended at the lack of care and time that went into this "franchise".
