You need to correct something in your post. It's not "800+ people" anymore it's more along the lines of 1173+ people.

Yeah, but that doesn't really help prove your point... I mean, if 1173 people disagreed with 1 person, what are the chances that that 1 person is correct and the 1173 are wrong, compared to the 1173 people being correct and that 1 person being correct? Even if you [i]were[/i] correct (which I don't think you are), the majority of us think that Thorn isn't OP, so it would be fair that Thorn doesn't get nerfed.
