Bigger mag sizes and increased body shot damage across every archetype would be a buff that wouldn’t be game breaking and would improve ARs substantially.

  • This would provide a solution to the shot gun/HC meta and would not decrease the fluidity at which players moved around the map. If you played D1 you probably remember when there was an AR meta and are having a flashback. Take a breath and think big picture.

    No I remember that one and I remember vanilla d2 as well and that shit ain't fun. There is no hand cannon/shotgun meta. If you're dying to shotguns a lot that's on you not having good spacial awareness. As for handcannons it's a 180rpm meta. Let's not lump thorn and Ace or last word in with Luna and not forgotten and service Revolver and trust. As soon as one auto rifle starts beating out weapons that require you to pull the trigger more than once consistently we have an auto rifle meta. This should not be happening EVER unless you are god at the game. They do not have the bullet efficiency to be as good as the other weapons and making it so that they can kill in the same time as other or with less accuracy instantly makes the meta. Sorry that's just the nature of auto rifles. It happened in D1 and it's happened in D2 we don't need this meta. It's not healthy for the game.

  • The reality is that body shots on ARs pack too little a punch right now. I agree that three tapping with a HC to the head requires more skill than spraying someone down with AR body shots. If the body shots were buffed slightly giving ARs a slightly better TTK then I believe the game would be more fun to play. Notice I said slightly. This way you’re still rewarded for skill with a HC but an AR user at med-close range will win if you miss a head shot.

  • For sure. You shouldn’t have a chance with an AR at longer ranges. That’s where pulses and scouts will eat you up. This leads to the scout rifle buff. Headshot damage gets increased and so does mag size. Scouts achieve the same 3 headshot TTK as hand cannons and provide the quick lethal kill. What we’ve now achieved are 3 totally different play styles using 3 different archetypes that are equal in their effectiveness.

  • No auto rifles should not be as effective as everything else. It doesn't make sense for the easiest weapon class to be just as effective as the others

  • Just as effective in it’s designated range. You can 5 tap with a HC at med-close range and still have a better TTK than an AR user. That’s another reason why change must occur.

  • Hand cannons should be able to fight in close to mid range with ease the only ones that can consistently are 180s and Ace of spades. They need more range or aim assist or a visual recoil reduction. I do not feel that the a scatter projectile weapon should be winning out like that all the time. I am only ok with autos getting a buff if I can use my hand cannon as designed in D1. I do not mean damage I mean in terms of range an accuracy. I also mean year one levels of D1 not that crap we had in year 3
