Note, I’m trying to stay as neutral as possible here.
Tbh they do get rather a lot of shit for even the smallest of things - for some people on here, even if they stepped their game up and actually made the game fun again and actually better than the 1st, I reckon those same people would still find apparently blatant issues to bitch about.
And from what I’ve seen from my time on here, a rather substantial amount of people here are just a wee bit toxic... if anything if they don’t like the game they just swear blindly at deej or anyone else related to bungie and that’s it!
Why would you want to listen to people who berate you constantly for something? Even more so if they don’t add anything constructive as to how it could be made better...
I’m not saying the game is flawless mind you, there are many problems with it, lacklustre dlc included, and there are certainly things to moan about ie this whole eververse thing.
And if we believe that removing it could start the game on the right path and make it better then keep going with the hashtag and maybe we’ll get something done!

I understand that sometimes people can be quite toxic when they get impatient as I have worked several years in customer service, and yes some people do just yell "-blam!- YOU" and carry on. BUT, I still had to do my job and treat the customers like they were precious angels and try to at least let them know what the deal was when asked. But that isn't to say all of them were that way, some of them even made suggestions to management that not only made things easier for us, but easier for them as well. We didn't just throw it all under the bus and say "we're listening constantly". When we made mistakes we had to apologize, work better/harder, and even reimburse the costumers at time as well, because that is also a part of business as well. Even in that field of work you have to be transparent about everything or you lose your job or could cause others to lose theirs. If that is the kind of standards that working a lowly job like that has, why do we also not hold those standards to a community manager and the company they work for.

That’s all true and yeah I’ve worked in customer service too for a short while, turns out I don’t like it. Didn’t help one place I worked, the boss was a c*nt who didn’t actually care about her staff but oh well moving on... With the case of deej and Cosmo, I at least want to think that as their job is only speaking with the community and relaying info, they know as much as we do until near the release as neither of them actually contribute the game itself. And yet day after day, people berate them as if they control everything... Plus it might depend on what they’re allowed to say... if their boss tells them that all they can say is “we’re listening and we’ve got something in the works” then that’s what they’ll say. Might also be dependant on the fact that almost all of it is done by blog posts, so they can just perhaps ignore the messages berating them and pick and choose the ones that don’t solely do that. It’s almost certainly what I’d do in their situation... Do I have to respond to this person who’s just going to keep insulting me or do I reply to the person not just being an ass? I’m not looking them in the face... That’s how I see it at least...
