Skyrim with mods will always be the best Elder Scrolls. Vanilla though... For some reason Bethesda has started to rely on modders to finish their games then actually do it themselves.
-
i actually haven't finished either oblivion or skyrim's main story... i keep getting washed out with the repetitive dungeons. maybe this time though. but thats doubtful. I'm 60 hours in, and i haven't even talked to the graybeards yet.... odds are ill get bored before i meet parthanax or whatever that dope ass dragon is called.
-
Stick at it. I've ploughed over a 1000 hours into Skyrim, on 360 and Xbone, and some of the story lines are excellent.
-
i like the dragon fights. they are fun. only wish that the ones flying around didn't just fly away like the scared little bitches they are...
-
I often use a shout in their direction to try and get their attention. If you stick with the main questline, the final mission to kill Alduin, there's a trio of dragons to fight in the first area after you fly there on the back of a dragon!
-
yeah, id do that too, but the shout i use is the detect life one, which isn't a shout, but a whisper, so they never hear me and just fly away :(
-
Lol might wanna change that shout! Aura whisper (detect life) is my favourite shout too.
-
its so nice for the dwemer dungeons and crypts. can immediately tell where those pesky spiders and rollers and sleeping dead are. so nice.
-
You also get to see the direction enemies are facing, a lot more clearly, so you can sneak and throat slit.
-
my sneaking is unfortunately atrocious, so yeah, knowing what way they are facing only helps to arrow them in the back
-
Can we also talk about how meh the stories are?
-
i would love to, if i had completed either of them... but if you want to tell me about them, i will graciously listen and provide commentary
-
I actually have not finished Oblivions main quest so I want talk about that. Skyrim can pretty much be summed up in a sentence: Dragons come back to life and you kill big bad one.
-
all i know about oblivion is some dude sacrifices himself at the end to stop like a blackhole from oblivion from consuming everything or something? i could be entirely wrong. this statement was based off of a memory of me watching a youtube video one how oblivion ends years ago.
