It's the rapid secondary or tertiary shots. I love hand cannons I use them almost exclusively in crucible and almost as much as a scout in pve. The extra bloom that was added in 2.0 is why there are phantom rounds. It's aggravating especially when up against something with a fast ttk like mida or doctorine. That one missed shot is the difference between winning a gunfight or losing. I think the bloom should more dramatic at the medium and far ranges but not as dramatic at close range since that is the area hand cannons are meant to shine. But this is my opinion so what does it matter

  • Bloom just shouldn't exist. If I'm ADS with my feet on the ground, the bullet should go where I'm aiming. I can't compensate for something I can't even see. Where my bullet goes shouldn't be a product of RNG. I have a Rangefinder, Rifled Barrel Eyasluna, and I'm still getting phantom bullets.

  • I completely agree. It is total crap. Bloom should only exist while hipfiring

  • This is like, the one thing in the game I'm salty AF about. Nerf, buff, whatever. I don't care. I can adapt. But a bullet should go where I'm pointing. I don't think that's too much to ask for. /rant

  • I understand that, what I don't get is why I don't get the issue. I always use my Finnalas. It's clean up potential is amazing and I love it

  • You're probably pacing your shots better than most since you spec for range instead of stability. With the higher stability you have faster follow up which is what most prefer, but this leads to more bloom. Higher range you can engage farther out since you don't have as much damage fall off so you can pace better
