The worst part about all of this (GHorn nerf) is that it honestly doesn't solve the issue. The people who partake in that sort of behavior will just find something else as a substitute, look at ToO forums as an example (must have flawless emblem to play). Another example was when Crota hard mode first released, must have Glowhoo to play. An emblem or shader isn't going to help you play any better but its used as a requirement. I don't think removing these people is going to be as easy as reporting them, as technically they aren't breaking any rules by not allowing you to play with them. The solution is IMO to just move on to the next group or better yet start a group/ clan and don't be like the individuals who partake in this nonsense.

  • I agree with you Splashy. A more logical solution would have been to have Xur sell GHorn. Even the playing field. Concerning the LFG Ghorn spammers: there are a TON of players who don't require the horn to play end game content. My group is one of them. Of course my crew actually "learned" how to defeat Aetheon and Crota the legit way. Come on tryhards its a game, put forth the time to learn the battles, its much more rewarding once you can do it without a crutch. On a side note, I still think the Gally, IB and BH nerfs are crap. I, like so many, have worked hard for the rewards, now you are taking them away. Im sick of the crybabies dictating how this game is changing.

  • Xur actually did sell the GHorn once near the beginning of the games release. Selling the GHorn would not have evened the playing field because then it would have lead to Bungie giving the bosses more health to combat the frequency of players that have the GHorn IMO. This IMO meant that if you didn't have enough strange coins that week or could not get online you would not be able to finish any of the end game content from that moment on. In addition something else would have taken the GHorn's place as a requirement (look back at my ToO example) and also how Icebreaker was no longer a requirement for the Crota Raid when Xur sold it. This is a problem within the Destiny community where people use any reason to feel they are Elite and only want to play with players they deem to be as good as them. The only way to change this would be to give players incentives to actually play together rather than lock themselves off from other players. As soon as I saw Matchmaking wasn't going to be included in Raids I knew this was going to be a problem, which is why I started my group/ clan. In this instance the crybabies aren't the ones who were partaking in this nonsense but the very people who felt burned by the practice of it. While there are groups out there who are willing to help people there are far more that only care about stacking their team with as much firepower as they can. As far as the nerfs themselves all of these weapons were extremely powerful and if Bungie was interested in making the PvE experience tougher then nerfing these weapons would be the best way to achieve this. Am I a fan of the Nerfs of course not, it took me 1500 hours just to get my first GHorn but ultimately it means we as players have to adapt and overcome.

  • Bungie used that as an excuse to nerf the Gjallarhorn. We've all been had. I guess we could hire Anonymous to hack the Bungie emails and find out what's really going on in there since they don't ever wanna tell us the truth.
