Coming from a marketing background, it's not too uncommon to see company representatives 'play nice' with 'highly ranked' people in target communities, but it's not often that information like this is leaked.
So if its fairly common, what's the point of this thread?
People complain all the time about squeakers in CoD - rated M. Squeakers play gta v - rated M. Destiny - rated T. Why are we outraged about stuff that other companies do? Why is Destiny held to different standards?
because we're just trying so damn hard to find any to hate
Why live in a subpar world if you can fix it, why let companies do what they want? Your mentality on this subject is disturbing and you should reevaluate letting companies do what they want. It could very well end in a disaster not just for the companies but also for the people.
-
Well spread the word then. Cause they are tons of people singing the praises of Bethesda, but don't seem outraged about how they screwed their PC customers with ESO. Nothing wrong with wanting change, but singling out one company among many wont do any good. Gotta call out all the ones doing it. When u make a post about the horrors of Destinyvision, mention the other culprits - it will Garner more traction for industry change.

They're payin' you pretty well, huh?
-
If only they were paying I could actually afford a vacation. But seriously, people blow shit way out of proportion.
-
Eh, yes and no. Many issues on these forums are legitimate, but this is standard fare for the business community, you're right. Also, look into the auto industry. We're on 3 week shutdown right now.

These people are passionate. If they used that on something higher up - say the exponential raise of minimum wage, or wealth transfer to China, - maybe this country could recover...
-
That stuff ain't fun dude. And an exponential increase, at least on the Federal level, is a terrible idea. An index would be better, where each employee makes at least 1/100th (or 1/10th, or 1/1000th) of what the top dog in the company makes. That would better serve the needs of local economies while still improving employee pay and allowing them a better opportunity to enjoy the success of the company.
-
Yeah, people don't seem to understand that $15 minimum wage would equal a $12 loaf of bread.
-
Inflation will inflate anyhow. It's more an issue with the fact that some areas can't afford a $15 minimum wage, so forcing that amount can cost jobs

You are completely right about looking for further reasons to hate on bungie. Everything they do is not shiesty with malicious intent but they have and continue to damage their relationship with their consumer base. The Destiny community is very toxic mostly from heightened expectations about the game. Advertising worked and Bungie got to make some money but continued exaggerated marketing practices with subpar content and poor PR have driven us to this point. Activision makes tons of money but people hate them. Bungie whored themselves out and will likely never untarnish their image.
