I apologize this sounds so formal. I ran it through that MS365 thing and the AI made it all formal sounding. Long story short. I haven't played in like 6 years. Bought Renegades and all the expansions. Had no idea what was happening since apparently the Red War is gone. So I wanted to play all of the expansions to learn everything that has happened. I got all the way to the final shape and could not finish the mission to get prismatic. My chat asked why I was only light level 300. I told them that is all the game let me get. I figured I didn't get more light until later or something. Then I found out my character is broke. A lot of details are below, but I spent so long. I tried everything I could find online and even asked chatgpt an gemini and all the AIs I could find. I did everything I could think to force a higher light item to drop. Nothing. Even my chat let me join a fireteam and higher items wouldn't drop. I don't know what to do. I spent all my glimmer on fragments and stuff as I was going. I am broke now. If I delete the character I have no money. Sorry to babble all the stuff I did is below. It looks all formal I know but the info is there. Oh and I even played the first mission on Renegades. Only 305 light and cleared easy. All drops where 300. Thanks ISSUE My character's progression is permanently locked at 300 Power Level (PL) despite owning and playing The Final Shape and Renegades. This prevents me from completing the Transmigration mission to unlock the Prismatic subclass, as all enemies one-shot me. REPRO STEPS (How the Bug Likely Started) Character was created as a new/returning player (approx. 100+ hours of gameplay on this character). During the New Light / A Guardian Rises introductory quest in the Cosmodrome, the player chose to continue the full tutorial/quest path instead of using the "Skip all the quests" / "Jump Ahead" option. The character's Power Level never jumped to the current Power Floor (1900). ACTUAL RESULT All gear drops and vendor items are scaled to the old Power Level range (300-335 PL). The lock persists across all content: Campaigns: Drops in The Final Shape and Renegades missions are 300 PL. Vendors/Collections: Gear from Tower vendors and Collections is 300-305 PL. Core Playlists: Post-match rewards from Crucible and Vanguard Strikes (including the Powerful Gear reward after 3 Strikes) are 300-335 PL. Account-Wide Rewards: Season Pass gear rewards are visible in the 300 PL range. Prismatic Quest: The required "Transmigration" mission is unplayable due to the massive Power Level delta, preventing subclass unlock. NOTE: I have spent all my Glimmer to unlock abilities and fragments, making character deletion an extremely costly option. The Glimmer cost/Aspects are a factor, which is why a manual fix is needed. EXPECTED RESULT The character's Power Level should have immediately been boosted to the current Power Floor of 1900 PL upon starting The Final Shape content, and all drops/rewards should be 1900+ PL. PLATFORM (Change this to your platform) [PLATFORM: PC (Steam/Epic) / PlayStation / Xbox] The only remaining fix I can see is help from the developer, or a powerful item drop that correctly scales to 1900+. I spent a LOT of money getting all the DLCs so I could get to this point. I really hope this can be fixed.
