Why would the Cristian creation Myth be any more viable than that of the Norse, or the Greeks or any number of religions that pre-date the Abrahamic religions? As to where our species came from, the current best answer is we evolved from Homo heidelbergensis

The Christian bible is fairly recent so, Greek, Hindu, roman, Norse. If you are talking about the Jewish texts the Christians absorbed then Shinto has it beat. But still the question remains what makes the Cristian version of events true?
