"gear resets" are not "gear resets" and are not required. the difference between 331 and 300 is not that noticeable. and you are not resetting or upgrading your current weapon. you are trading it in for a new version from xur. is you dont think the trade is worth it? don't do it.

True. The option is given. But it seems like many players assume they HAVE to go through this route.

I went this route with 2 exotics. suros, because I "needed" a 331 primary for the new raid. and icebreaker, cause its the exotic I use the most. and I regret doing it for suros since my go to primary weapons are still VOC and fatebringer.
