So just recently we just received a leaked photo. http://imgur.com/eyD9lVM
Its important to remember I don't hate this game, I hate the people who don't take it to its full potential because of greed
This picture allegedly details the plans for the future in this game. I am in no way excited about anything I see on that list. Let me start.
1. In the course of 2 years in that chart, they only intend on adding 2 new areas. One that was already promised in E3 videos, and one that had damn well better be the greatest location that ever existed. Skyrim comes to mind when it comes to New areas.
2. Comet is clearly in hard form. This means that it was already being made long before Destiny went on the shelves. Evidence that they split content up purposely? (Think back to E3)
3. You're following the wrong goddamn storylines. I personally don't care about the Hive anymore, you made me kill their god in a raid that is glitchier and easier to cheese than the first level of Mario. How about the telling us what the hell happened to Earth?? Maybe letting us explore this City you put right in front of our face... or seeing at least one other NPC that doesn't sell me shit. Anything besides repeating The Hive and The Vex again...
4. The Dark Below was awful. Awful. AWFUL You barely added new maps, story content that runs us through the same levels...The music was more Halo music rehashed. The "God" of the Hive was a large Knight..(Come on, the Black Heart in the Black Garden was a good first step). You added no new enemies, subclasses, abilities, elements, or characters, excluding Eris. The currency updates created 3 new useless currencies, less bank space, and more useless weapons, armor, and items. You honestly couldn't have made a worse update to release.
5. Upcoming "Episodes". Episodes are released for FREE on Halo 4. These damn updates are what is the first problem. They are clearly framed and built exactly like The Dark Below, to extreme degrees. They will add the same amount (or lack thereof) content to the game, while forcing a potential of 3 more pay walls on players. In one year.
This picture just dealt the death blow to Bungie, and they don't even know it yet. This gave us all an inside view into the plans for this game and it is definitely not what DeeJ promises with his little updates on the forums. You aren't listening Bungie, and now we have proof. There is simply too much competition coming out for me to stay loyal to a 2 year plan as weak and greedy as the one in that picture.
This doesn't have to be the fatal wound! You can take this opportunity to start trying harder, lying less, and rewarding the people who do more work than your Quality Assurance team...It starts with admitting to your wrongs though.. which will probably never happen. looks like its Shadow of Mordor for me

2 RepliesI would pre-order it all now if i could

I am the future of yo momma a pûssây

1 ReplyI don't care about your worthless opinion. No matter what happens with destiny I'll always support it !
-
2 RepliesShadows of Mordor is an even larger disappointment than Destiny! One enemy type, no new weapons, very dry story, THE SAME BOSSES OVER AND OVER AGAIN! If you haven't bought Shadows yet, I suggest you save your money for something better.... if you already have it and LIKE it, wow, you're calling the destiny fans blind..

This picture has been around for quite a while. I still think that Destiny was ultimately rushed and that's why we didn't get whatever people think we were promised. The fact they they were still working on TDB in September shows that they're still playing catch up. The level designers are clearly way ahead of the content teams... But I don't think anything was cut on purpose/for DLC. Maybe cut for creative restructuring after they scrapped the original plot. Why are you not impressed? I realize people keep comparing the expansions to something like Skyrim's expansion, but that's apples and oranges. Destiny is a persistent FPS game, we are getting way more content in each expansion than what you'd get for the same price in something like CoD. I argued for a while that Destiny was at least trying to be an MMO. But since I've been told again and again by this community that it's not, I've lowered my expectations. I agree with being tired of the Hive. But the 3rd and 4th DLC are still in development and like I said, that picture is old. So who knows if they're going to stick with anything after the comet. They may, but we don't know. Heck, the way things are going HoW may be delayed. The comet itself looks great, a new areas, new subclasses(?), new story missions and potentially the opportunity to add features we've been asking for (more vault space?). What's not to like? As for the cost of the DLC/comet expansions. I expected to keep buying the add on content for both additional content and a sort of cheap sub fee. Those who bought Destiny thinking it would be a solid standalone game were either unfamiliar with the way an online game works and/or thought the expansions were going to be optional. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the future of Destiny. I'm maintaining a healthy skepticism though, I'm less than impressed with many of the choices they've made, but the game is still fun to me. So long as it remains fun, I'll keep playing. I do burn out from time to time, but I have other things to do and other games to play. I don't treat Destiny like WoW, which was like a second job. Your experience may vary.

Seriously doubt i will be paying another $60 -$70 for 12 new missions on a disk

4 RepliesEdited by N1GHT CR4WLER: 1/13/2015 3:56:53 PMI like the game but they just need to stop resetting our work and build on a new level'ing system that rewards you as you rank up Love Bungie but getting involved with Activision & Sony in my eyes was a mistake they should have stay'd true to themselfs game might have taken longer but it would have been another epic like Halo but just a new'er up to date game

Bk to cod map paks kid

25 RepliesYou don't speak for the community. I'm pumped for comet. I'm extremely excited to see the potential of this game grow, adapt to new gun types and sub classes, and complete raids with friends and randoms. Others feel that way too.
-
4 RepliesI really dislike when people include me in their "we".. Please refrain from including me in your shitty opinions in the future ok?
-
4 RepliesEdited by Pale Mist: 1/12/2015 1:04:00 PM1. Activision runs the show. Their money, their release rules, sadly. 2. Black Heart in Black Garden a good step. My good sir, I disagree. How can the final battle of the campain being 3 sequentially appearing Gate Lords, an enemy you fought in the mission just before, be a good thing?
-
Ten year plan mate, you think that when they released lord of the rings they said, oh its out on DVD now, better start writing the 2nd one now, I know it was advertise as a trilogy but you get what I mean, with destiny they aren't just releasing one disc, they're working on a ten year project , it has yo over lap.
-
Thanks for letting us know you're not impressed. I knew this would be the case with destiny. 10 year plan had to have some form of DLC added content. Destiny has me hooked and i personally don't mind spending £15 £20 on dlc packs every 3-6-8 months, God knows I've spent more on games and they have been rubbish I am sticking around until Bungie have finished with the first game then i will see how I feel about destiny 2
-
"We've" and "we're" implies you speak for more than yourself. I do not agree with you. And I'm sure many do not. Destiny has given me more entertainment in a single game than I have ever had from one game save maybe Skyrim, and it's only been out a few months. So anyway don't let the door hit ya buddy...
-
1 ReplyThere are plenty of other games if you're not impressed. Not a single person from Bungie is requiring you to continue to play.
-
1 ReplyThey're listening. As you said, most of the DLC has already been made. The feedback the community has given results in changes that cannot be implemented over night. The game hasn't even been out 6 months. Be patient. Also, the content at E3 was focused on the broader, long term vision of this game.
-
4 RepliesWhat if the raid was so glitchy because bungie was to cheap to hire game testers to test the raid so we get to test it so bungie spends less money! This would also explain why they did not release the hard mode!
-
I absolutely agree with you. You've expressed concern very well.
-
2 RepliesPlenty of people are going to continue to buy the Destiny DLC. Plenty of people are going to enjoy it. The problem w/ Destiny is the lack of content...this has been common knowledge for MONTHS now. If you are not down with the Grind then I think it's time for you to find a new game to play. Again the model has been set and Activision / Bungie will continue to produce DLC content that is not as robust as it should be. The plan is set and it's not changing anytime soon. Maybe things will change with Destiny 2, maybe not. At the end of the day the game play / mechanics are on point. Destiny is just lacking STORY. Yeah the strikes could use come Raid like mechanics, some new planets, and I wish Destiny actually rewarded SKILL....but these things are not just created overnight....they are planned, and the current DLC plan is what we have. Your best bet is to find another game to play until Destiny 2. It's ok mate. You don't have to play Destiny. No one if forcing you.
-
:p eh. I aint disappointed. I knew the game wasnt gonna be that big once i heard activision was calling the shots. Guess i saved myself alot of disappointment.
-
Hard to argue that

Edited by TWO Sundance: 1/13/2015 12:52:18 AMDude I heard that if you b*tch to bungie claiming that they've screwed you, they give you a free icebreaker and gjallahorn. Can you confirm this for me? Thanks. Sweg Boi 69 signing out.

7 RepliesHow many people are going to post this?
-
3 RepliesI dont understand why they make day one players with 200-800 hours equal to guardians who have about 20-30 hours when a dlc drops.
-
2 RepliesYou don't speak for the community. Instead of "We" you need to put "I"
-
3 RepliesI saw this and I doubt I will be buying the rest of the DLC. Think about it, that's a lot of pay walls. The final two DLCs will probably be the same as TBD and HOW. Comet, will be a huge DLC, and who knows how much that will be. By the time all of this is released, I don't know if I'll be on this game or willing to buy the rest of the DLCs. I'll just have to wait and see.
