They didn't need at least the last nerf, I might argue the last two. IMHO, shotguns shouldn't be RNG spread, should go back to like 6-8 meters, and just instantly fall off. Same with Slugs, but have the ranges be like 10-12 meters, and have their damage be changed to 75 Body, 375 head. Would also serve as a Lord of Wolves and Fusion nerf, too.

3 RepliesThe problem was never the gun but players. Why did people let others get so close to them and into the one hit kill range? The games time to kill is far below the time needed to take someone running at you out. No it was easier to blame the weapon and not their skill or tactics. They ran around the place not looking or thinking what they were doing and then found themselves at point blank range against someone with a shotgun. We learned in D1 how to combat shotgun users (and they had greater range and more starting ammo) and it is time for D2 players to stop complaining and learn how to counter shotguns. Ps. If I see another person run into a cave and get blasted then after respawn ran straight back into the cave REPEATEDLY then I'm going to scream.

Not that I’d want them buffed, but I think they actually feel rather weak compared to certain fusions and snipers.

If by balanced your mean “worse than every other meta special weapon” then yeah I’d say they’re balanced. So many nerfs that now you just have to bot walk around and hope someone pushes right into you.

In PvP, yes. In PvE, shotguns could use a little more love than just a damage boost. I feel like certain damage perks could have their nerfs dialed back like Trench Barrel.

Imo a bit underpowered. Revert the in-air and slide nerfs and I'd be fine with them.

Lord of Wolves kill at 8 meters, almost double. Not to mention LoW negates some of the AE nerfs to shotties. And people wonder why they think Fusions are broken now, it’s because the one counter isn’t reliable

I feel they are a bit weak but it’s ok because I don’t use them and hate playing against them.
