I don't disagree and I even used a method to "farm" the mission over and over on one character until it dropped, but that only works because it actually drops from the boss himself and is not a mission reward like the icon suggests it is.
It's just a way to get you into that FOMO feeling.

The ship drops from the end mission screen not the boss itself.

As a reply to both you and @RedXIII_, it's deceptive. The drop pops up in that post-dialogue black screen and will make the "exotic drop" sound, but it's not actually tied to completing the Lure like you may believe. You can "refund" the Lure in the mission, complete the mission, get your chance at the drop, then re-load the Lure and do it all over again as many times as you want. It functions much more like you're farming a solo Strike Boss for the reward chest at the end. You know as well as I do Bungie didn't intend for players to get more than 1 chance per week per character, but because of how the Lure being deactivated doesn't kick you from the activity once you're loaded in, you still get your shot at the reward.
