I've ran this mission as many times as I could manage and this ship refuses to drop for me. I'm feeling a bit screwed here, the season pass wild hunt cosmetics should've been a guaranteed drop upon completing whatever objective needed to be done. For the future Bungie could you avoid drop chances for season pass cosmetics? What you did with the Radiant Accipiter was excellent it would've worked with The Fourth Mark ship to have a quest hunting wrath born or something.

4 RepliesNO!!! It is something to grind for, it has drop protection, it's purely cosmetic! This item is the perfect item to make uber-rare like it is, and it's in an easy mission. This a perfect compromise for players that want loot fast and players that want to farm.

I got the ship to finally drop after several runs and even giving up on getting it but then my friend and I got bored and I got it on my first try that day. It is indeed a pain and should have not rng especially this late in the season, it should have been switch from rng to guaranteed but Bungie probably won’t do it as it’s already too late in the season unless they give it out afterwards cause of the bad drop. Who knows.

Edited by BCNiSS: 2/7/2021 7:39:58 PMThe reward model is designed so people will play the same mission or activity until the random number generator generates the number associated with the reward one seeks. It is pure chance. The odds are not in your favor. What you do with your time is totally up to you. I'm not into that hamster wheel crap but that's just me. Some people have nothing better to do with their time. Some people need that virtual cookie. Some people may genuinely enjoy running the same mission over and over again. YMMV and that is OK. Bungie cannot satisfy both the 'casual' and the 'hardcore' and yet they continue to try. That, in part, is why I believe the game is a mess.

I did the lure reset method and it took me around 20 runs before I got the ship.

2 RepliesCan anyone 100% confirm: a) Does the ship still drop after the patch (2-3 weeks ago?) with the lure resetting method? b) Does the ship drop from boss defeat or end of the mission? Multiple replies appreciated.
-
Start the mission normally but right after you place the lure to spawn the boss go into the lure UI and reset it. This will allow you to complete the mission normally and not use up the charge so you can farm the mission. The ship doesn’t drop from the boss but drops from the end of mission black screen.

3 RepliesI don't disagree and I even used a method to "farm" the mission over and over on one character until it dropped, but that only works because it actually drops from the boss himself and is not a mission reward like the icon suggests it is. It's just a way to get you into that FOMO feeling.

Well, at least isn’t easy to run, once you figure out how to avoid the -blam!-ing ridiculous bugs… Anyway, hopefully they increase the drop chance next season, and/or increase drop protection (if this object has it).
-
How else do you think they can artificially inflate their played time.

5 RepliesI’ve completed the coup de grace mission 25 times now and I still don’t have the ship it’s getting ridiculous, I don’t want to play the same boring mission over and over again.
-
1 ReplyReset your lure when you drop in the mission. It took me 15 damn tries... good luck

At first I grinded for it using the exploit (which I believe will be fixed in the latest patch?). Doing it 7 times in a row was super boring (8 if you count that I had to restart because the boss glitched out once). So I just decided to only run it for the pinnacle each week. 2 weeks later, finally got it. I think I was around 15 total runs. Hang in there, you'll get it. Especially since it won't go away until September-November, whenever year 5 starts.

3 RepliesI JUST posted a similar thing. Ran it so many damn times it's just tedious now. Absolutely stupid. Who wants to keep running this more than a few times? I'm really sick of it.
-
1 ReplyI’ve completed the mission 3 times each week since it’s launch and don’t have it either. I r fuse to farm for a ship though, it’s a chunky ugly one anyway.

2 RepliesThe mission to kill the High Celebrant will be available until the end of Year 4.

1 ReplyI got it on day one of the buggy ass mess
