Lol.
You could have used it to upgrade the obelisk weapon bounties super fast. Turning in 400 completes a bounty and you can have 4 bounties at a time. Huge legendary shard and weapon farm.
Also just turning them in to any obelisk gives you shards.
Jokes on you. You won’t stop it from showing up.

True but why waste my time doing it? In this case I'm all for letting the PvP players get something they want.

Even if everyone stops donating today, it’s coming back regardless. The next season is literally about PvP/Trials
-
If that’s the case watch play numbers dive even more
-
Makes perfect sense. Because of a new optional mode coming into the game, everybody who doesnt care for it would stop playing... If you dont care for Strikes, you would stop playing because of it being available as an option???
-
If trials and pvp is the main focus nerds will be inbound and watch numbers drop, I guarantee it.
-
With that logic, it would suggest that the constant, high amount of demands for trials in every community forum would be trolling when implying that lack of trials is why they find D2 demotivating I dont care about trials at all, but I wouldnt stop playing just because of it being an option. Your OP simply states that you will do whatever it takes to keep it from returning and later that a large amount of people will abandon the game because of it returning and only that. Someone later giving you a notion that the game will be mainly focused around pvp, giving you an additional argument doesnt change your previous statements. Either way, stating that pvp wil be a "Main focus" is an overstatement. Bungie learned their lesson with Gambit focused DLC. That would be a bad thing even without trials being part of it

I’ll eat this phone if I’m wrong, watch trials return with heavy focus on pvp and nerfs as a final result, numbers will drop more than ever.

Trials coming back and you choking on your phone is both equally high up on my "Do not care-list". In the sense that they probably affect the players opinion about the rest of the game the amount of: sort of nothing. The part about a heavy focus on pvp at the cost of every other aspect of the game, seems unlikely. That would imply Bungie did a full reversal of their intentions with the game and left the majority of players with a solid argument to do more or less what you suggest. I partly agree with you on that argument. If the focus on pvp is at the level where you can define it as a Main focus, it would upset a large amount of "core players". I believe Bungie understands that and trust them not to be that next-level stupid
