.
The fact you refuse to acknowledge that is absurd.
No what is absurd is the irresponsibility of the player.
What is absurd is the fact that you think everyone must think like you.
You think it’s a problem. That’s your opinion. You can say everyone else thinks it’s a problem, but that would be an outright lie.
So don’t tell me I refuse to Acknowledge anything.
Explain how it is not poor design? The user should not have to be fight with the interface. No where have I said everyone had to agree or think like me. It happened to me and I learned and I am now extra careful when opening gifts so I don’t accidentally delete a core and I chalked the random shift in inventory to a glitch. But now I come to the forums and see other people are having and posting about the same issue. Improvements don’t happen without people speaking up and this is a quality of life change that should happen. Some people won’t think twice about it and that is fine. I wasn’t bothered enough to make a forum post myself but since there is one I am going to give my input so it can be changed and made better for the player. As it is currently designed the player is fighting the system and that is by definition poor design. Instead of calling a spade a spade you want to blame the user and claim we refuse to accept responsibility. You have no idea if we have or haven’t accepted responsibility. I obviously did because I learned, but now opening gifts is a far slower and monotonous task for no good reason.
Having separate buttons helps solve the problem and helps prevent accidental deletes and not having random inventory shifts should be something fixed in general. If you have a different opinion that is fine and you should explain and argue for it. But instead you come into this post and just make claims that amount to “you are wrong” and “stop whining” and then try to insult the original poster by repeatedly calling him a kid. You aren’t helping improve the game. You can disagree about it being a big issue, but the fact that it is happening to multiple people highlights it is a poor design choice that should be changed.
On top of all this, the changes that are being asked for would in no way negatively impact you and would make the inventory management experience smoother rather than making an already tedious task more tedious and time consuming. I’m sure that since bungie is a big company with hundreds of employees that they cannot foresee every issue which is why they have a place like the forums for community feedback so things can be addressed and improved.
If you think it is good design for the open and delete to be the same button when there are plenty of unused buttons in that menu then explain why. If you think random shifts are a good experience for the user than explain why. Don’t just come in here and make assumptions about people and antagonize them, that is unhelpful and unproductive. That is why I called your comment absurd, because you aren’t even making any points, you are just attacking people.

It isn't bad design because you can look at what you delete before you delete it. Stop over thinking it.
It isn't bad design because you can look at what you delete before you delete it. Stop over thinking it.
Dude are you really trying to say something that just randomly shifts without reason isn’t bad design... or that using one button for multiple actions when you have additional buttons available that are unused isn’t bad design??? Because if you really think that then you have to agree that we should have only one button to shoot/punch/jump/crouch and it should randomly perform that action. That is basically as bad as what you are arguing for. There is no good reason for random shifts of items in inventory or for one button to do multiple actions. Changing these things won’t stop a person from still being able to look at their inventory and decide what they want to do with it. It will only improve the speed and accuracy of those decisions. So yes it is bad design. Why are you against improving the game. And I’m not over thinking it. Clearly multiple people have accidentally deleted enhancement cores.

This inventory "issue" is only a problem if you're not paying attention, if you are paying attention then it isn't a problem at all, and that's why people won't agree with eachother... It this something bungie could fix? Sure. It this a big deal and something bungie should prioritise? No.

It is not the companies fault if you are not paying attention. It’s the gamers. I have played since D1 day one, and never had a issue. I pay attention to what I’m doing. If you’re watching, you will see the shift. If you’re not watching, well it’s your own fault
