Firstly, I don't farm PEs for radiant shards. If the boss is there I'll stick around and kill the boss for the seeds. Secondly, a PE boss drops 8 seeds not to mention the other orange bar enemies which drop 1 seed and any other yellow bar minibosses which drop two each. Not sure where you're getting 10 PEs from?
