• Osiris (ha) that’s a name from before my time • I wish one day I could meet osiris myself • saint-14, Osiris, toland so much before me I wonder what comes next Three lines from d1 implying he’s not the same speaker and it’s also clear that the one in the comics is older and is much ruder

Edited by NeonPropose: 4/2/2019 5:47:23 AMThank you. It honestly still makes me not want to believe it.

1). Speaker dialogue in D1 confirms that they’re two different Speakers 2). Isn’t it just common sense for a leader to find a suitable replacement when they know they’re about to step down eventually?
-
I want the quote. Also I highly doubt that if they’re an immortal being that “speaks for a god” they’re gonna want to step down from that position. Especially when changing the leader does compromise the entire secret of the speaker.

The speaker: A position for a chosen warlock to interpret and understand what nature the will and actions of the traveller are.

Edited by H1vac: 4/2/2019 1:55:40 AMI shall search for one. Expect it in 2-5 hours. Edit: https://youtu.be/lP-UlnhntWc 5:48 “He wasn’t the first Speaker...and he can’t be the last, right? ...”

Again, there have been multiple Speakers throughout the City’s history. One Speaker can’t always rule. They have a system where someone takes up the mantle of Speaker for a while, they train an apprentice, then they step down (or die) and make the apprentice the new Speaker. That’s what was supposed to happen with Osiris. Osiris got exiled however, so it’s not hard to assume that that Speaker decided to find a new apprentice.

Again I know I sound very naive or foolish, but I honestly can’t believe it. It just doesn’t sound right.
-
It is right though
-
Honestly it just doesn’t sit right with me. It’s like the whole thing about Shin. It didn’t sit right with me when I read it.
-
Well unlike the Shin situation, the Speaker thing has been known about for a while.

Clearly not by everyone (ie me)
