Usually the only thing I look up is where to go. I have a fear of being lost/being in the wrong place.
But actual encounters and puzzles I would never look up. At most I'd ask a person's advice on how to deal with a tough encounter.
But yeah, if I don't know where I'm supposed to go I'll admit to going to Google pretty quickly.

Fair. I know I usually tend to try to get hints as to where I need to go, if I’m stumped. Generally I try to get a broad area rather than specifics, though.

I would prefer broader tips too if possible. A lot of the time I was actually going in the right place, but because the traversal was difficult I needed confirmation, if that makes sense.
